Contraindications for Females
Feeding sun-dried Andrographis powder to female mice at a dose of 2 g/kg /day for 6 weeks, then mating them with untreated males of proven fertility, inhibited pregnancy in 100% of the tested animals (R).
In has also been reported that administration of Andrographis resulted in abortion in pregnant rabbits. Moreover, the herb is reported to suppress the growth of the human placental chorionic cells (in vitro) (R,R2) .
Contraindications for Males is Conflicting
Andrographis has shown to reduce Male fertility in Winstar rats (R).
Dry leaf powder of Andrographis dosed at 20mg/day for 60 days caused sperm production to stop, and generally altered the health of the male reproductive organs (R).

Don’t let the negative or positive reviews influence you to use or not use this product. If you want to learn about the benefits I suggest you follow the science. Information on the National Institute of Health Website (PubMed) on this particular product will tell you exactly what its benefits are with limited side effects. I suggest you Google it.

I have had these for a week or so. I took along with Olive Leaf Extract (studies show a synergistic effect). I take one of each in the AM and one of each in the PM to reduce my likelihood of catching a cold. I did not get sick while my partner has been sick with the flu this week – i was caring for him all week so i needed all the help i could get. I feel like these really helped my immune system.

and replaced with the outer plastic protective seal intact. The
bottles had very different expiration dates.

Don’t buy this from Wellica Inc. The andrographis bottle and package arrived smelling strongly of chemicals/perfume, and the safety seal was broken. They also don’t accept returns. Otherwise, this would’ve been a great product. I’ve tried the brand before and it’s good; I’d like to see a brand make the tablets with no stearate in it, though. Himalaya brand used to make it but it’s discontinued now.
