The author’s advice to start with the smallest number of plants first and then incrementally build up experience by gradually expanding the range of remedies makes perfect sense and helps to build confidence. Similarly, the advice that starting out with a shoebox containing your materials at first is far better than planning to construct the perfect shelving, custom-made cupboard (but which remains a pipe dream) is equally valuable. It’s a good example of the philosophy of “that which exists defeats that which does not” to overcome procrastination. For a few areas of improvement, I’d look to more fully define and explain some technical terms or methodologies such as decoction, tincture and HPA axis. Overall a fun read.
