This book goes over tons of natural remedies. Too many to name. I personally liked the menopause section, digestive support, and immune support. There is even recipes for deodorants and body scrubs. It goes over the tools to use and how to store the remedies. It is full of so much natural knowledge.

I have had an interest in alternative medicine all my life, and that has increased as I became an uninsured person whose only options are usually OTC medications or alternative medicine options. What I have never been however is organized about my use of them, which is what reading this book has helped me move towards.
While there are lots of books and videos out there that detail what to try for x, x and x – as well as lots of TikToks and Instagram videos – this is the first time I’ve encountered a fluff free step by step instructional on actually creating and maintaining a working home apothecary to bring the same kind of order to using alternative remedies as one might to storing prescription medications. As this is extensively covered right at the start of this book I could certainly see the value in it from the start (and it is relatively easy and inexpensive to do)
In regard to the remedies themselves they are organized into sensible groupings by health issue, and while I encountered many of them before there were some new to me. However, for me the real value I got from this book was the push to formalize my use of alternative remedies which I am sure will make doing so a lot easier and more effective.

This book holds many helpful remedies for a wide range of different ailments. It expains exactly how to prepare the remedies, not just what you need to make the remedies. I have read other natural healing books, and a number of them just give receipes, but they don’t really explain how they should be prepared. Some of the remedies mentioned in this book are in others, but they turned out so much better after reading how to actually prepare the ingredients.

So many good natural remedies. A few that I already use but found alot of new ones to try.

“Home remedies are not meant to replace medical care, but to fill in the gap between doing nothing and doing too much. It’s about knowing when a simple remedy is enough and when it’s time to seek additional support.”
This book is very informative. Very easy to understand. Simple recipes.

Full of great information. I make soap, lotions, salves and the information in this book made things much more relatable than Pinterest or even some YouTube creators. I’m excited to try new recipes for teas and how to use herbs to my benefit to help my family and friends. This book is going to be an important part of my toolbox on home remedies and a great addition to basic first aid at home.

The Everyday Natural Healing Handbook — A Complete Guide is an incredibly thorough and user-friendly resource for anyone interested in taking a more natural approach to health and wellness. With over 500 step-by-step remedies and apothecary recipes, this book truly lives up to its promise of being a complete guide.
What I appreciated most is how accessible the information is. Whether you’re completely new to natural healing or already familiar with herbal remedies, the clear instructions and organized layout make it easy to follow. The inclusion of both ancient practices and modern home remedies gives the book a well-rounded feel, blending tradition with practicality.
The variety is impressive—covering everything from boosting immunity and increasing energy to supporting long-term vitality and longevity. I also found the apothecary recipes especially useful, as they provide hands-on ways to create your own natural solutions at home without feeling overwhelmed.
Another highlight is the emphasis on prevention and overall wellness, not just treating symptoms. This makes it more than just a remedy book—it’s a lifestyle guide for those looking to make more intentional, health-conscious choices.
Overall, this handbook is a valuable addition to any home library. It’s informative, easy to use, and genuinely empowering for readers who want to take control of their health in a natural and sustainable way. Highly recommended!

For sure, something that you should have on your bookshelf or in your kitchen. There is a lot of good information in here.

I thought this book was very informative. I think the author did a really good job of covering a wide range of remedies, recipes, and other herbal info. I was surprised there was so much you could do with a meager supply. While presenting all of these wonderful remedies, the author still makes a point to always seek out medical help for major things. They say, “These remedies aren’t meant to replace medical care but to fill the gap between doing nothing and doing too much.” I am not religious myself, but I appreciated the inclusivity of adding bible quotes at the beginning of each section of the book. I think my favorite chapter was the foods chapter. I know I will use that information all the time. The other two chapters I know I could get use out of are the chapters on Anxiety, Stress, & Sleep support and Natural Body & Hair Care. I had no idea I could use hibiscus, nettle, or sage in hair care. Those are all things I have readily accessible to me. I think this is a great book for anyone new to herbalism and home remedies, as well as old masters of the craft. I will be keeping this one on a close shelf for whenever I need it.

I am a complete novice when it comes to anything natural, and I will be the first to admit that I dont know what the heck im doing most of the time but this book makes it so easy to understand that I feel confident I could manage! This book is great for those who want to back away from synthetic medications, and allow nature to heal them. I will say, there are some recipes in here I am not sure I could ever bring myself to trying out, like onions and honey (no, thank you!) but I do appreciate them. I also really like how it includes a bit of history, and step by step instructions.

This book was great! It has everything you need to start building your own at home healing remedies. The first part of the book introduces essential tools, procedures, preparations, and dosage and safety. The chapters are then laid out in categories such as Immune boosting, Respiratory support, Headaches and Migraines and so on. Under each section there are numerous recipes including the remedy, how it works, ingredients, method, and dosage. There is a section describing foods that are healing, a quick ailment guide, and helpful bonuses at the end that are included in the book. The book was laid out beautifully, easy to understand, simple recipes to follow, and even has separate sections for treating women and children. I can’t wait to try the Nutmeg Milk Drink for easing tension headaches!

A wonderful book. I hate using medicines when I’m not sure what’s in them, so being able to heal naturally with the ingredients in this book is incredibly amazing! I love knowing what’s being put in my medicines and being able to heal worry-free, all naturally. Not only that, but I feel healing naturally is also much more tasteful, and the flavors of natural remedies are so much better. Overall, an incredibly informative and amazing book.

This is a great book to add to your collection. This book has so much to offer and teach you about natural healing techniques. I love how it takes you back to nature to heal your self and shows you that nature provides everything you need. You don’t have to depend on Pharmaceutical companies to heal you. I will be getting more to give as gifts.

I thoroughly enjoyed flipping through this guide book. I have recently been trying to incorporate more natural remedies into my routine and this guide is perfect!! It helps you ensure you have not only the tools you need to get started, but also covers the basics to get you started quickly. So many different remedies available, a helpful guide in the back of the book to direct you where to find what you are looking for, and easy to follow instructions. If you are interested in starting your journey into natural healing methods, get this book!

This handbook is a treasure for anyone curious about holistic wellness. It’s beautifully organized and packed with over 500 remedies drawn from traditional healing practices. The visuals and layout make it easy to navigate, and the explanations are clear enough for beginners yet detailed enough for seasoned herbal enthusiasts.

I have always been fascinated by herbal remedies and this book delivers. To quote the book, it “works best when it fits your space, your habits, and your budget.”, which is great. Any books I’ve had in the past were a bit too convoluted and on the costlier side. The book lists most everything if not everything you will need to setup and start making your own remedies, the containers, measuring tools and weighing tools and also goes into labeling tracking and storage. The recipes themselves are simple, how it works, ingredients, how to prepare it and the daily dosage. I love tea and there are many tea recipes! The book has so many useful natural remedies I can’t wait to try! The section on quick ailment guide lists the herb, what its used for, and who should not use it! They also include a 7 day starter plan, a DIY cosmetic guide and two more bonuses. This is a good book to have on hand.

This book is packed. There is so much information to sift through and its simple. It doesn’t have a bunch of steps or make it look complicated. The guide in the back lists the herbs with information. It also has a spot that walks you through starting your own home collection. The only intimidating thing about the book is the amount of recipes in it. This book is definitely geared towards beginners and is set up so simple. Thank you!

Natural remedies have always interested me, so this one was an easy yes. I found it practical and well-organized.
The book covers a lot of ground including immune support, digestion, skin care, sleep, pain relief, and more.
Each remedy lists the ingredients, the method, and the dosage in plain language. No confusing terminology, no hard-to-find ingredients. Most of what you need is probably already in your kitchen.
What I appreciated most is that the author is honest about the limits of home remedies. This is not a book that tells you to skip the doctor. It clearly explains what natural care is good for and when it is time to seek professional help.
With over 500 remedies organized by ailment, this is the kind of book you flip through once and then keep close. I think it’s worth bookmarking your favorite sections so they’re easier to find.
Maddie Cali –
AMAZING BOOK! I have heard a lot about apothecary and natural healing handbooks, and this one has been super helpful! This really motivated me to keep my garden going and continue working towards natural remedies! I appreciated how the author explains not only the remedies themselves, but also the reasoning behind them and the importance of safety and proper preparation. What stood out most to me was how approachable everything feels. The book doesn’t overwhelm you with complicated terminology or unrealistic ingredients. Instead, it focuses on simple herbs, kitchen staples, and easy-to-follow methods that fit into modern life. The sections on immune support, digestive health, sleep remedies, and homemade preparations were especially helpful and inspiring.
I also loved the balance between natural wellness and responsible advice. The author makes it clear that these remedies are supportive tools and not replacements for professional medical care, which makes the information feel grounded and trustworthy. Overall, this is a wonderful resource for anyone interested in herbal remedies, home apothecary basics, or simply learning more natural ways to support everyday wellness. I can already tell this is a book I’ll keep coming back to regularly!

The Everyday Natural Healing Handbook presents itself as a large, practical collection of natural remedies, traditional wellness methods, and home-based healing approaches aimed at supporting overall health, immunity, vitality, and long-term well-being. With its promise of “500+ step-by-step remedies and apothecary recipes,” the book appears designed as both a wellness reference guide and a lifestyle resource for readers interested in holistic or natural approaches to self-care.
One of the book’s biggest strengths is its breadth and accessibility. By combining herbal remedies, traditional healing practices, and home-prepared recipes into one volume, it gives readers a wide-ranging introduction to natural wellness techniques that have roots in folk medicine, herbalism, and historical healing traditions. The step-by-step format likely makes the information approachable even for beginners with little prior knowledge of herbal or natural medicine.
The emphasis on everyday wellness and prevention is another appealing feature. Rather than focusing only on illness treatment, books in this category often encourage habits related to:
* nutrition
* immune support
* sleep and stress reduction
* herbal teas and tonics
* natural skincare
* digestion and energy support
* home apothecary preparation
This broader lifestyle perspective can make the book feel empowering for readers who want to take a more active role in their daily wellness routines.
The inclusion of ancient and traditional remedies also adds cultural and historical interest. Many readers are drawn to natural healing books because they reconnect with older practices that predate modern pharmaceutical medicine. Herbal remedies, oils, tinctures, salves, and plant-based preparations often appeal to people seeking a more natural or holistic approach to health.
Another likely strength is the book’s practical tone. The large number of remedies and recipes may make it feel like a hands-on manual rather than a purely theoretical wellness discussion. Readers who enjoy DIY health and home apothecary projects may especially appreciate the instructional format.
However, books in the natural healing genre also require careful consideration. One potential limitation is that some remedies may rely more on traditional belief or anecdotal evidence than on strong scientific research. While many herbs and wellness practices can support general health, not all natural remedies are medically proven, and effectiveness can vary significantly between individuals.
It is also important for readers to approach such books responsibly. Natural remedies can sometimes interact with medications, allergies, or medical conditions. Therefore, the book works best as a complementary wellness resource rather than a replacement for professional medical advice or evidence-based healthcare.
Another challenge with large “500+ remedy” collections is consistency and depth. Because the book covers so many topics, some sections may provide only brief explanations rather than detailed scientific or medical analysis. Readers seeking advanced herbal medicine training or rigorous clinical discussion may find the material more introductory than expert-level.
Despite this, the book’s greatest value likely lies in encouraging mindfulness about health, self-care, nutrition, and daily habits. Many readers appreciate wellness books that promote balance, prevention, and intentional living rather than quick fixes alone.
Overall, The Everyday Natural Healing Handbook appears to be an expansive and user-friendly guide for readers interested in natural wellness, herbal remedies, and traditional healing practices. It blends practical home remedies with holistic lifestyle advice in a way that is likely both informative and approachable for general audiences.
