I drink a lot of tea. But full disclosure, I usually stick to black teas. And, this isn’t really tea, per se. It’s ground, shredded ginger root.
This is my first time using ginger for tea. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I have good flavor imagination and know what it should taste like, but the experience was a little more than that, which is what I want out of a food experience.
I like that the product is simple and efforts were made to make even the bags better. Natural fibers and no glues in the bags make for cleaner taste. I do want teas to start listing no microplastics, but since none do, I can’t fault this one. I suspect their bag description means that, but it’s not explicit.
The only thing that makes me wonder about this is the fact I could buy some young ginger from my store, rasp off a little into a tea infuser, and come up with the same tea, perhaps fresher as the ginger would not be dehydrated. I also wondered whether the teabags might not serve as an emergency supply of dried ginger for cooking. So, overall, net neutral, a little minus since I could do it myself, a little plus since it’s ready dried ginger.

You get a lot of tea here, and the flavor is mild, so you could use multiple bags if you need something stronger. Keep in mind this is just the ginger herb, so no actual caffeine here (or actual tea).
There are also no stings on these bags, so keep this in mind you will have to fish them out yourself!

I drink black tea in the morning, but after dinner, I prefer herbal tea to minimize caffeine intake before bed. Recently, I have been trying the Ginger Tea variety from Starwest Botanicals, which is made from ginger root. I really appreciate their tea bags; the sachets are made from all-natural hemp fiber, making them healthier and more environmentally friendly compared to nylon sachets. Research has shown that nylon sachets can contain a significant amount of microplastics.
The manufacturer recommends using one tea bag for a cup of hot tea. I followed this suggestion by pouring almost boiling water (8 oz) over the tea bag and steeping it for 3 minutes
The aroma is spicy with hints of turmeric and lemon. The flavor is delicious—spicy and warm, yet slightly sweet with subtle earthiness. This tea is a refreshing drink that really soothes my throat and nostrils.
Overall, I’m impressed with this particular variety. It is safe, healthy, eco-friendly, and organic, all at a reasonable price. I highly recommend trying it if you enjoy ginger tea.

This ginger tea is probably one of my top favorites I have had. Sometimes ginger tea can be way too spicy, but this one has a good balance of ginger flavor. Because I got a bulk pack, I was thinking the tea might be too light tasting but it isn’t. It is a medium to strong ginger flavor in each bag after letting it steep about 10-15 minutes. As most ginger teas do, this helped to ease some stomach discomfort for me. I like that it is organic as well, and is pretty decently priced for the amount you get.

Good fragrance and nice spicy flavor. In sealed circular bags with no strings. Great for tea blends and putting in travel cups. I find that when I use teabags with strings in my teapot or travel cup, about half the time I drop the string and paper tag inside by accident, then have to fish it out, so I’d rather just use tea bags without string.
Brews a golden color. The teabags are more convenient than loose, and are of comparable quality to others I like blending with other teas, for color and health. Overall I’d recommend this for those that don’t want to deal with loose tea.

I didn’t find this as flavorful as other ginger teas I’ve had, but I appreciate that it’s organic and from a good brand. It also seems like there’s a bit less tea in each sachet compared to the organic blends I usually buy, though those often contain a mix of different tea leaves.

I thought the flavor of this Ginger tea was mild overall… I prefer my ginger tea to be a little bit more strong and to have a spicy kick but I didn’t experience any of that with this tea, though I still enjoyed the flavor. I’ve been drinking the tea straight and also making Arnold Palmers. Very good and I’ll definitely be finishing off the package. I don’t know if I’ll try these again though because like I said I thought the flavor was just a bit too mild for me. I definitely expected a bit more flavor.

I love the ginger flavor! I am a big fan because it adds such a nice ginger essence without being too overpowering. The best part about this product has to be that the tea bags are listed as being made of hemp fibers, so I do not have to worry about microplastics entering my tea as much. I find this tea to be extra relaxing to drink, and I love drinking it at any time of the day. If you want tea that is more sustainable than other teas, this is a good brand to try.
