   I have a school age kid, so I have a whole arsenal of immune supporting supplements to help stave off the germs that are brought home regularly. These capsules are easy enough to take, as you only need to take one a day. I did not find they were as effective in nipping a cold in the bud as supplements like elderberry or mullein are. This isn’t expensive and a brand with a long time history, so I didn’t mind trying it, even though I didn’t have any results. No side effects.

   Note: this says not to take for the long term, so it is not taken like vitamins-but it sounds like on an as needed basis.

   these pill come packaged in the same kind of container you would find in the homeopathic area of mini grocery stores. There is one issue, however, and that is that the package doesn’t tell you what this herb/plant is actually used for. I will tell you. The Andrographis leaf is often used to boost the immune system. If you have ever tried occillococcinum, this seems to have similar uses. I will add that I did not find any specific studies that conform or deny its effectiveness.

   The fact that I had to go searching online at WebMD and other sites to find anything about what this is used for, rather than having some information listed on the bottle itself, is a concern. For that reason I took away a star because I have these pills here and had really no idea of what to use them for or how often to take them. Even some simple recommended dosages would have been helpful. I do give the manufacturer points for giving you all of the ingredients that are included inside the capsule and what the capsules is made of.

   At $14 for 120 pills, it may not be a bad purchase.
