I am thoroughly impressed with this Karelian Heritage bracelet! From the moment I took it out of the box, the quality was obvious. The 8mm shungite and black hematite beads have a beautiful, substantial weight to them—they don’t feel like lightweight plastic imitations. The stones are perfectly polished with a rich, deep luster that gives off a very sophisticated, high-end vibe.
The handmade craftsmanship is excellent. The 7.3-inch elastic stretch band feels durable and secure; it has just the right amount of tension to stay in place on my wrist without pinching or feeling flimsy. I have a 7” wrist and this bracelet is loose, which is what I wanted. It is not so loose it falls off my hand. It would easily fit an 8” or larger wrist and not pinch. The contrast between the black and dark silver beads is attractive. The elastic is very stretchy and returns to its shape. I stretched it out several inches. However, the black beads have started to smudge my skin. I noticed the black beads were dull and couldn’t remember if they had started off shiny. I rubbed one with my fingers and came away with black smudges. I liked this bracelet a lot until I saw that. This could easily rub off on white cuffs or other fabrics or surfaces. I rubbed the beads across my white desktop and it left marks like pencil marks, which I have many graphite marks on my desk to compare to. Since I already have the bracelet and think it looks good, I might spray the beads with a sealant to prevent smudging, but I wouldn’t recommend the bracelet because of that.

This is a beautiful shungite and black hematite beaded bracelet. Interestingly, the information page lists it as a bracelet for men, but clearly shows it being worn by a woman. I definitely think that it is unisex in nature. The 8 mm diameter may make it a bit more suitable for a man’s wrist. Because the beads are on an elastic cord, it easily slips on and off of your hand. The details are very well done with each type of bead displayed on 1/2 of the bracelet. I have a collection of different types of beaded bracelets that I like to stack, and this bracelet will definitely be added to that. I do feel that the price point is a little bit higher than most of the beaded bracelets that I have, but the beads are very nicely made, and the quality of the bracelet seems to be good.

This bracelet is perfect. It has a great weight to it with a good balance of hematite and onyx. The sizing is perfect. It slides on with ease without stretching much and sits comfortably without leaving gaps between beads, and my wrist isn’t the smallest. I’ve been sleeping and showering with it- no signs of ware or damage. It’s worth the price.

Hematite stone means grounding, protection, and strength. If they want to, have a bracelet with obsidian, black tourmaline, and hematite for a very strong protection charm.
