I came across cordyceps in a stroke of luck while pretty much trying everything out as I was trying to recover from mono. A product from a different company, very high quality with a matching price tag. It worked wonders.
After the emergency was over, I started looking into how to keep my growing supplement cabinet affordable, and that’s how I tried this version of cordyceps (and some others…). Given that this is mycelium, it does not have the effect on my body that fruiting body extracts do, but it does enough to give me the cordyceps-associated pick-me-up effect without breaking the bank. I really like this product for maintenance and general good-feeling when I am healthy… so 95% of the time. If I get sick, I will still reach for a fruiting body product. I will usually mix the powder, together with some of their astragalus powder, in a hot chocolate. If I am not mistaken, this was my third time ordering this cordyceps product.
Ah, and my pet peeve about Bulk Supplements products: I find their packaging impossible to reseal…

This is the REAL THING: Cordyceps sinensis which has shown health benefits. Beware that ADULTERATED Cordyceps, namely Cordyceps militaris can be LABELED “Cordyceps” but is NOT the same thing! Amazingly there is Cordyceps militaris being sold here on Amazon that is far more expensive than the real thing!

If I could take only one supplement for the rest of my life, this would be it. I have had asthma for twenty years that is often aggravated during seasonal transitions and exercise, and in my case cordyceps have nearly eliminated all symptoms. There has been a noticeable improvement in my lung capacity, clarity, and efficiency. My endurance during sports and other physically exhaustive activities has improved dramatically, and it is far less likely that I will experience asthmatic arrest while running (which before would almost always trigger it). Prior to taking cordyceps I had hardly experienced the elation of deep, fulfilling breaths during sports. For most of my life, physical exercise has been associated with asphyxiation and pain, so I often avoided these kinds of activities. This has all changed now. FINALLY! I’ve been to doctors countless times and the best they could do was prescribe me immune-system-weakening anti-inflammatory corticosteroids that provided temporary relief from symptoms at best. Now I take 1/2 tsp every morning, and another dose in the evening if I feel any heaviness in my chest (NO MORE INHALERS!). This is a great product, costs me hardly anything, lasts a LONG time, and provides incredible benefits. If you are new to cordyceps, Bulksupplements currently offers the most affordable high-quality product I could find on the market and is well worth a try, especially if you suffer from a similar condition as I do.

I use about a 1/4th to 1/2 tsp of this daily for sustained energy, and it’s nothing like the false hopes of the energy drink industry. I still like my caffeine, but find that this is just as, if not more important.
There’s a green tea company based in Seattle that uses cordyceps in their ceremonial grade matcha, and I found it curious that they said they created their drink because they “didn’t like the way adderall made [them] feel”. When I looked at the ingredients, cordyceps was the only mushroom and stand out ingredient I could find responsible for the all day energy the drink offered. Sure enough, cordyceps was the ticket. An instant mushroom coffee company that sells their products on amazon compares cordyceps to “little batteries” that keep you going. Yes, that they do.
I don’t get jitters or anything, but if I take it when I wake up, I’m far less likely to roll over and drift back to sleep. It’s like my body just isn’t interested in resting even if my mind thinks I am. No uncomfortable anxious feelings with it either.
I do notice something different if I take a higher dose than usual, and I don’t know how to explain it exactly, but it’s not jitters. I just feel a bit different. Nothing alarming, but it’s enough to let me know that the dose I took is past the so called “sweet spot”. Just take it easy with this stuff and start small. Maybe try in dose increments of 1/4th tsp. You’ll find what’s right for you.
No comment on flavor. I don’t notice it as unfortunately I still do not have a full sense of taste/smell due to long covid. It’s certainly not foul or anything, but you’ll want to look to another reviewer for that info.

I have been taking this Cordyceps powder for about a week now and I really like it. It is giving me the energy and endurance I need. This is Cordyceps Sinensis so I am adding Cordyceps militeris as suggested by a reviewer who said it is an inexpensive way to go. I have been taking Cordyceps militeris in an attempt to have energy without the ups and downs of caffeine. I have been pleased that it has been working. Now with the addition of Cordyceps Sinensis I have not only felt increased energy but I also seem to be less hungry through out the day.
It has a lovely chocolate fragrance, no particular taste but I am drinking it hot without any additional flavorings. So the taste must be ok. Over all I am very pleased with the quality of this product and feel a am achieving the results that I want.

I have purchased this mushroom powder before.I love the Cordyceps mushroom. It does a lot of good for my body. I purchased this particular brand because it was a little less than what I normally purchase. I will not purchase it again from this company. It didn’t seem to work as well as it did from the previous company that I normally purchase from. It didn’t taste bad or anything like that. It just didn’t give me the energy boost that I received from the other brand.
