I just got these in the mail today and I’m already so attached to this deck. The artwork is so enchanting and beautiful. My favorite thing about this deck and the corresponding book is the overall feeling of warmth in the messaging- one thing that turned me off from a pretty popular oracle deck was the sort of brusque descriptions which made certain cards feel quite negative. The card meanings in the booklet invoke thought, and prompt you to turn inwards and reflect. I like that it places the trust in the readers hands to make sense of what is coming out in the cards. Jessica also did a wonderful job of making the cards intuitive and simple to understand on their own if you don’t have the booklet handy.
The cards are quite large if you have smaller hands but, not enough to be a deterrent. I can still comfortably shuffle them. I’ve seen mention of the cards being thin, and while they’re not as thick as some oracle cards, they’re not flimsy by any means. They seem durable and the card stock is very nice. That being said, I will shuffle them flat because I want to keep them looking nice.
Long story short, this deck is lovely and I highly recommend it! Especially great for anyone just starting out!

I love the gorgeous illustrations and the guidebook. In the short time I’ve had this deck, it has provided many insights! I love it! The cards seem very durable, and I love that the box is not too big. I’m so so happy I bought this deck. It brings beauty and inspiration into my life every time I use it.
Nickihoi13 –
Get this deck. I swear, it’s become such a lovely supplement to the Co-Star app and is lovely and intricate. Admittedly, I don’t know much about tarot or oracle, but, that’s what makes it so exciting to me. Detailed illustrations paired with easy to follow instruction’s make it feel like a personal reading every time

These are absolutely stunning! The artwork is amazing. I love all the animals and flowers and plants. If one of her decks calls to you, definitely buy it. This came up out of nowhere an I bought them right away. I am so happy I did. It book is easy to follow and makes you think about Roman numerals.

Lovely animals deck of cards. Guide book was in black and white. Overall, it a very nice Oracle boxset.

I love everything about this deck. The art is gorgeous, the cardstock feels very nice, and I really resonate with the descriptions in the guidebook. I love the mix of symbology for the animals and the plants, and how the book also gives you a couple of questions to consider for each card.
You can really tell a lot of thought went into every part of this deck.

Honestly, I did not know this was an oracle deck when I bought it…even though it’s right there in the name! I liked the look of the box art and the Hare and just went for it. As it turns out, this a pretty cool deck. Overall, I think the artwork is excellent and I like the style and feel of it.
While I’m no connoisseur of card-stock, I’d say this is slightly on the thin side, but it hasn’t been a problem for me. The cards are “dry” and don’t stick much at all and they have a matte finish. The cards are pretty large, which wasn’t an issue in itself, but personally, I was surprised by how much dead space there was on the original cards, so I decided to cut the artwork out, going along the nice hand-drawn borders with nice rounded edges. They look fine as they come, but I do prefer them cut. I would say that these cards were designed to be friendly to those willing to cut off the borders except for the fact that on the back, the pattern is BARELY too large and you end up losing tiny bits at the top and bottom. Although you’ll never think twice about this once the cutting is done, its worth knowing in advance. For me, the art and the cards are much improved by being trimmed down; I was a little shocked at how small the art actually is compared to the original cards, but I think they look better and obviously they shuffle even easier than before. I also think that the backing looks much better trimmed down as there was a large halo of dead space there before. If you cut them skillfully, they shuffle perfectly and look like a whole new deck. I don’t regret devoting the time at all. Of course they won’t fit snuggly in the box after, but it’s worth it–besides, they make a nice little sound jostling around lol
My only complaint about this deck, and its a small one that I almost didn’t mention, is that a few of the cards seem to dip in quality compared to the others, which is a shame, but also an indication of how good the majority of the cards are. I really feel like the Porcupine, Deer, Badger, Bat, and Wolf are not up to the standard set by the artist. I would honestly buy this all over again if these cards were improved!
FYI the picture with the Hare shows the cut size compared to a standard tarot card and the Woodland Wardens cards before cutting.

Love these cards. Beautiful art
Nickihoi13 –
Really beautiful deck. The cards are gorgeous and have great keywords as well as interesting symbolism. I think the guidebook shines especially well with how detailed and intentional it is. Would be a great deck for beginners or advanced readers. It pairs beautifully with tarot cards and other divination tools as well.

The art is so beautiful. Love the booklet that explains all the representations of the symbols.

As a Nashville native, I love supporting hometown artists—and this deck makes me proud to do so. The Woodland Wardens Oracle Deck is gorgeous, thoughtful, and clearly made by someone who actually cares about quality (and creatures).
First of all: the card stock. THICK. Luxurious. Sturdy enough to survive real shuffling by real humans with real enthusiasm. These cards feel substantial, like they’re meant to last and not disintegrate the moment you ask a serious life question.
Second: the animals. Absolute icons. Every card delivers wisdom without judgment, drama, or passive aggression—which is more than I can say for most people. Honestly, animals continue to prove they are better than humans, and this deck understands the assignment completely.
The art is beautiful, the messages are insightful without being preachy, and the whole deck feels grounded, comforting, and smart. This is one of those decks that feels like a trusted guide instead of a chaotic acquaintance.
Five stars. Support your local artists. Trust the animals. 🦊✨

Woodlanes Wardens is an oracle deck I’ve been eyeing for several years, and a few days ago I finally decided to buy it. I have to say, now I understand why I needed it, why you should have it, and why everyone else does! The artwork wasn’t anything special to me until I received it from Amazon in perfect condition. I opened it, and it captivated me instantly; I connected with it immediately. The images in the product description don’t do it justice, so I’ve included several photos. The same goes for the quality; it’s far superior to what you’d expect from the pictures. It’s matte, silky, and very easy to shuffle.

The deck has a matte finish and large cards that are loud to shuffle. At first I really disliked it, but now I’m a big fan. I feels really satisfying and tactile, like shuffling ASMR. The card stock is pretty thin for such large cards, so BE CAREFUL if you riffle shuffle – the first times I tried I almost bent some cards in half! I don’t riffle it at all now, but it’s fine because I find it so enjoyable to shuffle overhand.
The color palette is very muted, which I also initially disliked because I expected something more vibrant, but I came to enjoy that as well once I got used to it. It’s a similar palette to the Centennial edition of the RWS, which is the version I use, and the two decks pair well together. Roux also makes some references to RWS with her numbering and symbolism, so this is a great choice if you’re already familiar with tarot but new to oracle decks (as I am). Overall, it was a deck that grew on me quickly. I was underwhelmed at first, but now I absolutely love it. The combination of an animal, a plant and a key word gives you a lot to draw from, and the key words are succinct and well-chosen. The descriptions in the guidebook are short enough to be a fun and quick read for daily draws, but offer enough info to be a good starting point for your own interpretations. I love that they include both upright and reversed meanings (I don’t read reversals, but I view upright and reversed as the “light/shadow” aspects of each card), as well as question prompts for journaling or reflection. It’s definitely the best guidebook I’ve seen for its content and brevity – it makes the deck easy to get to know and a joy to use.
For a mass produced deck I’d say the cards are reasonable quality, the artwork is gorgeous and the vibes are immaculate. As with any deck, there are some cards I absolutely love and some I don’t vibe with as much (at least initially). But the quality of the illustrations is remarkably consistent, and the deck feels like a rich and complete world. I was surprised by how quickly I connected with this deck.

If you are a witch, an elf, a hobbit, a wizard, a fairy, and/or you identify with being in and loving nature, you will absolutely love this oracle deck! The card stock is nice. It has a beautiful matte finish that really embodies a more natural aesthetic. You will love shuffling this deck. You will love just looking at the art of this deck. I find this deck also lends itself to meditation upon each card’s animal/plant/message, even when not using as divination.

Quality of cards are good, no hustle while suffeling. Guidebook is easy to understand, I felt instant connection to this deck. So visually appealing.
Just had to wait too long almost one month. And it’s still showing on the way. I had to connect with coustomer service to get the deck

I just received this deck as a Christmas gift and I’m absolutely in love. It’s just beautiful. The art work so carefully created, not one card less beautiful than the others, and each card carefully designed to fit in the frame of the card. The artwork is SO gorgeous no pictures do it justice. They would each easily be at home in a frame. The cards are matte and made of sturdy stock. Something you’d expect from much more expensive decks. The guide book is cute and well put together. A description for each card and a few words written to help with interpretation. It also includes reversals. The cards give gentle, practical readings. Perfect for sensitive souls, nature lovers, and beginners. You will not regret getting this deck. I would pay $50 or more for it. Even if you just buy it for its beauty. You’ll love it!!

Gorgeous! The card these are printed on is nice and thick, with a matte finish. These cards are everything I had hoped they would be, after they sat in my “To Buy Later” collection for much longer than they deserved to. The handbook is small and a tiny bit fiddly but these things always are. The main thing is that handling the cards is a pleasure. The artwork on the cards is beautiful and the symbolism has been thought through carefully. I am looking forward to familiarising myself with these cards over time and would recommend them.
