Half of it is how to set up your kitchen and a history lesson and the other half is recipes. It’s very informative and has nice illustrations, the recipes all sound really good as well.

Absolutely love this book! It’s beautiful inside and out and is perfect for beginners. The only thing I would say is that I expected a book the size of a typical recipe book and this one is quite small. But that wasn’t a problem for me and I was impressed with the quality and the ease of reading!
