So a star is lost for being misleading in that regard. It’s actually very, very blue. So much so that it sort of makes me suspect that it’s dyed howlite, but I have no way to test that without potentially damaging the stone.
It’s a cute little necklace just the same, just maybe not the type that you should make a habit of sleeping or bathing while wearing it. I can imagine that the chain might eventually break from excessive wear. I may pop this onto a different string at some point.
Fortunately, it’s not a very expensive necklace at all.

This necklace is pretty. Not sure if the stone is real. It comes on an 18 inch cord that feels like nylon, with a 2 inch extension chain and lobster clasp. It feels nice to wear, all the edges and points are rounded and not sharp. The stone mount feels strong, I have hopes that it will hold well. Its value is worth the price. The stone just doesn’t feel or look real. I wouldn’t use it in any crystal work, it doesn’t resonate. If you’re looking for a pretty necklace, it’s great!
