I’ve had my cartilage pierced for 16 years but was never able to wear an earring in it without it turning red and itching and burning. I bought these with little hope but, they are fantastic. I have no issues with them bothering my ears at all! I do recommend checking the screw on back daily because they seem to loosen easily. Note- I wear them all the time and never take them out so that may be why.

You get what you pay for. These are definitely cheaply made and not hypoallergenic. The posts with the traditional backs do not fit together without force and cause the post to bend when putting the backs on. The posts that have tread and screw on backs will tear up the inside of your ear. Also after only an hour of wearing the earrings my ears started itching and then my earlobe swelled and turned red. I’m 48 years old and have had my ears pierced since I was 10 and NEVER had such a bad reaction especially to earrings that claim to be hypoallergenic. Past the Amazon return date but at this point it’s not worth the hassle for $13.
