I recently purchased this Italian-printed Rider-Waite deck and so far, it’s been a great experience. The card stock feels sturdy, though a bit softer than the classic laminated decks. I like that they fan and shuffle smoothly with bridge shuffling or hand-over-hand shuffling — the cards aren’t overly slippery. The finish has a subtle linen texture, giving the deck a traditional feel without being glossy.
The colors are slightly muted compared to some more vibrant editions, but the artwork is clear and faithful to the original. So far, I haven’t noticed any warping or major issues, and I feel confident this deck will last with careful use. This is a solid option if you want a classic, Italian-made Rider-Waite that’s good for readings and everyday use.

For me The Rider Tarot Deck is THE Tarot Deck,. When I opened and started working through these cards, the colors and sharpness of the printing seemed to be a bit off , slightly mottled or fuzzy not as crisp as I seem to remember from previous decks and the backs are very light themed and lacking, rather than a darker ground with stars I expected
I do not currently have my previous decks to compare these with,. So i can just say its the feeling I got.

This deck is the traditional Tarot deck that has been around for over 100 years now. It was developed by Arthur Edward Waite and Pamela Colman Smith. The deck is often called the Rider-Waite-Smith deck; I’ll abbreviate that to RWS.
Waite and Smith created a deck that is rich in symbolism, following teachings in Kabbalah, Egyptian mythology, Christian mysticism, and other such traditions.
The reason I mention this history is because almost no other Tarot deck has all the symbols found in the RWS deck. Even the newer Universal Tarot misses some of the symbols.
The deck from Amazon is of good quality. The cards are firm and smooth; they are slightly larger than ordinary playing cards, making shuffling a little tricky. It requires a bit of practice, but becomes easy enough.
The cards have bright colors. The images are clear. Although they appear cartoonish, the symbols are intentional and meaningful. It requires effort to recognize and understand their meanings. This is not a shortcoming of the cards or the deck. It’s how Tarot works.
I am quite satisfied with this deck. Would recommend, and would buy again (and probably will at some point). !0/10.
