They are an excellent deck of Oracle cards. The essence of the cards come from the Outlander world, but you can easily modify the images and meanings to represent your own life. Reading oracle cards is not fortune telling it is a way to think and reflect on life issues. Just as the Outlander world is a story of possibilities, so are the cards. They are very well made cards, they feel, and look like, like linen.

So, I think it’s important to mention that I didn’t realize this Oracle deck was based on a book series. I was simply drawn to the artwork and didn’t read much about the deck itself. However, knowing the books is not necessary to fully enjoy this deck as the themes are versatile enough to apply to various situations. There are, however, direct references to characters you won’t know. I didn’t mind that since there was usually a little explanation and some keywords to guide me. I was surprised the guidebook had so little in the way of explanation of the card in question, but I grew to love the chance to make my own interpretation. So, if you were looking for a detailed guidebook, you will be disappointed.
The cards are sturdy with a nice canvas texture which makes the deck a very easy shuffle. And as for the artwork…I think the pictures speak for themselves. The cards are beautiful with an elegant blue and gold theme. Overall, I’m thrilled to have this deck added to my collection!

The deck itself is beautiful—the artwork and card quality are lovely. Unfortunately, mine arrived with a flaw: one of the cards is marked on the back, which makes it stand out during readings. This was disappointing because I like to keep my decks pristine. I wish quality control had caught this before shipping. Otherwise, it’s a gorgeous set.
