Received it yesterday and I am very happy with this purchase. Though cards were not shrink-wrapped all cards are hear and are very crisp – ie they are new. But one card is slightly bent on one edge due to position in the box, but it’s not really an issue. However the outer box has edge wear but for what I paid for it’s still well worth the price!

They didn’t send the deck of cards… so it’s kind of pointless to have the book if you don’t have the deck to go with it.. very disappointed.
An observer –
This set still rates 5 stars, both for content and beauty, even though the newer sets that are now shipping no longer have a hardcover book. The book is now softcover, and, disappointingly, omits the handy reference charts that are in the front and back of the hardcover.
The cards are *almost* the same in this newer edition. In the older sets, they are a little more vibrant, and the finish is a high gloss, while the newer ones have more of a matte finish.
I prefer the packaging of the older set: the book slides out of the side, and a carboard container next to it slides out, and neatly held in that are the cards. The packaging of the new set is not bad, but you do have to slide the cover off; then the book sits on top of a carboard section with a cut-out center for the cards.
In short, I would suggest trying to find an older set with the hardcover book, and superior packaging; but the new set is still, overall, quite lovely, and the content is undeniably wonderful. A wise and beautiful oracle.

The Mayan Oracle is a delight for the discriminating seeker after a more evolved oracle. Tired of tarot and its worn archetypes which are based on the Middle Ages, gothic and dark overtones, I found the Mayan system un-contaminated and fresh. The cards are stunning in their beauty and design, immediately conveying a lighter, more etheric message for the spiritually discerning individual.

This is the same as The Mayan Oracle: A Galactic Language of Light deck but cards are in full color and not just gray or purple so it’s really awesome. I LOVE this deck but I did purchase a used one and the edges of many cards were stuck together so that is the only reason I did not give it a full 5 stars. This is a special tool and unlike any other deck I have found. Simply amazing.

i had a copy of this years ago was hoping it would inspire me again.
even the most hardened hippy cosmic energy believer would find this system a bit lite on substance.
however its whole approach seems so dated now and seems of little relevance.
the main star cards do look great as pieces of art in themselves and i do like to look at them but sadly as the descriptions and advice are crazy and extremely vague at best this will be an item that will eventually find its way to a charity shop.

This item comes in a quality box with a thick in depth book and a pack of large cards, one card is even metallic gold and one is silver. The artwork is very unusual and features the Mayan calendar glyphs, then some Mayan numeric cards and another group of cards which add more again to the readings. The artwork is symbolic and full of colour, its nothing like any other deck I have seen. Do not expect a typical oracle reading either. The cards offer guidance but it is focused on spiritual issues not mundane everyday stuff.
The most unique aspect of these cards was the `shadow’ aspect of the glyphs. This lets you look at what might be holding you back or any old patterns your still holding on to. This is very useful information and you will be offered guidance on how to step back into the light. I have found the guidance to be very accurate and more detailed than other systems. Anyone who has felt drawn to the Maya or Mayan astrology should try it. It makes a good tool for yourself especially if your other cards seem to lack depth and detail in their advice. I would not recommend it to people who are not already familiar with spiritual topics and lifestyle.

A fantastic desk. Very original – like nothing else you’ve probably used. The mythology and cosmology are totally refreshing. Very fun to work with and the book is VERY well done with both lengthy (and brief, when you need them) descriptions.

This is my first time dealing with the Mayan experience and using the Mayan Oracle cards. It is different than any oracle cards I have used for divination. The book is very detailed and self explanatory. Interestingly the oracle cards are very “ACCURATE”. In doing a spread for self I was amazed that it depicted accurately where my life is at the moment and the blockages that are needed to set me on the path I was meant to be on. I will use these cards daily for guidance and spiritual enlightenment. I would HIGHLY recommend this divination to anyone seeking their purpose in life.
