It has a Prop Warning on this product so be aware. Shilajit is noted for good detoxing and nutrient absorption due to it being high in humic and fulvic acid. This makes all of the nutrients in your foods super absorb into your body! It is very good at speeding up healing in the body or speeding up the beneficial effects that supplements and healthy foods have for you. This product is Shilajit in the POWDER form though so it is broken down. The pure form is the tar form. I would get that. In this powder form, I would say that it was only good for nutrient absorption, like omg wow! But I did not notice it detoxing me, which is why I got the product. I suspect that it did not do the detoxing because it had be turned into a powder so it was tampered with.

Great health benefits, but tastes terrible and the flavor will dominate absolutely anything you put it in. I first tried putting a half teaspoon in my matcha, but it tasted like I was drinking dirt. I then tried to mask it in my smoothie with 8 different ingredients, including potent flavors like vanilla MCT powder or protein powder, and mangos, pineapple and berrries, and once again the small half teaspoon of Shilajit overtook them all and it was all I could taste.

So, I read a review of a customer who opened this at work and reported that it smelled like a “petting zoo”,…which made me bust out in laughter when I read it AND when I opened the package myself hahaha. But that was NOTHING compared to the response my daughter gave me this morning when I added a pinch to her smoothie. She said, “Mom, today it tastes like llama fur!” ROTFLMBO!!!!! So, I look forward to all the benefits fulvic acid provides, but please remember, it smells like a petting zoo,…but it TASTES like llama fur lol.

I will be 55 years old in a couple of months. I have been taking a capsulized form of Shilajit for about 8 years now. It was good, and imported directly from Tibet. When flooding knocked out the factory that produced the capsules, and a delay of several weeks happened and I was without the product, I immediately noticed that my energy level went down and I felt drained and foggy. I heard that my old supply would come through shortly, but because of not having any Shilajit, I decided to try this product.
I have now switched from the old product to this one exclusively. I was taking about 1000mg to 2000mg of the capsules. I take a quarter teaspoon of this, mix it with some juice and drink it down before my morning shower. By the time I dry myself off, I am very alert and awake and ready for the day.
I am always quite surprised when people say how amazing I am for my age. I don’t feel like I’m 55 at all, more like I’m in my late 20’s. Now to be honest, I have been taking vitamins and supplements practically daily since I went to University at age 20, and that has helped a lot, I am sure, but I adjust what I take from time to time. When I was introduced to Shilajit, I knew I had found a winner.
One package of this has lasted my wife and I over 4 months. I still have a lot of it to use in the days that come. While I may miss taking it 3 or 4 days out of a month, I fully expected one bag to only last me about 2 months of pretty much daily use. It has lasted double that and I still have more.
To me, this is a hands down winner. All Aces in my book.

There is no information about the fulvic acids (FAs) content. The website of Sunfood only indicates: ‘Shilajit Extract Powder’ and ‘Raw Shilajit’ (which are somewhat contradictory). However, they also have a different product, Shilajit Capsules (500mg, 90ct), for which the ingredients are listed as: ‘Raw Shilajit Extract (minimum 15% fulvic acid)’. I assume that the this powder might be the same what’s in their capsule form. This 15% FAs content is somewhat more potent (concentrated) than most of the other companies’ (highly diluted) shilajit products (with ~5% FAs), but is less concentrated than real (more expensive) shilajit powders (with ~50-60% FAs).
That being said, at about a ~1.5 g per day dose the energizing effect off this powder is quite noticeable. Although, it might be rather because of the enhanced effect of other supplements (e.g. coQ10), which I co-ingest with the powder, since shilajit (especially the FAs in it) has a known ability to bring other nutrients into solution and drive them into the cell.

There is a lot of talk about this substance on tiktok so I had to try it out. I absolutely love it. I have felt so much more energized, focused, and with a higher sense of vitality. Make sure you micro-dose. It doesn’t take much to influence you. I am vegan which makes my body very sensitive. I took too much one day and definitely noticed. The quality is great, very bitter to the taste but I add it to my coffee with sweetener and it tastes like chocolate.

I purchased this for the fulvic acid ingredient. It states that it is black in color, however what I received is light brown, almost like a light cocoa color. It has a pungent and bitter taste that is unbearable in powder form. It might would be tolerable if in capsules, but I just can’t get past this bad taste. You can’t even mask the taste in coffee with stevia or anything. I wish I could return it but there’s no way to contact the seller that I have found on Amazon here.

I didn’t feel any changes in my energy levels and frankly I still need my coffee to wake up in the morning. However, I’ve noticed an unexplained appetite loss. I barely have breakfast and that’s it.
The powder smells too bad tho, tastes even worse.
Here’s how to make swallowing it easier:
– don’t use too little water. A good 200ml of water with half a teaspoon is better than with less water.
– close your nose with your fingers. The bitterness will still be there but the horrible taste won’t be noticeable.
– while keeping your nose closed (don’t breathe from your nose), eat something with a strong taste, I tried lots of stuff but sesame tahini was the best so far. It totally masks the aftertaste.
-drink more water before breathing from your nose again.
I don’t know if it’s worth it, but I’ll give it a try.

I have tried several variations of Shilajit, having only learned of it’s existence weeks ago, and while now I actually found a guy who goes gets it for me RAW from The HIMALAYAS,this stuff here is as good s it gets. Being Extremely hygroscopic,there are undesirable additives in most powdered versions which keep it powdered.Beware of ASH, discovered predominantly in capsule form. !I am saying that in THIS BRAND the additives, if any, do not seem to be adverse. I bought some light brown stuff before this and it is stable in air, not as strong, and don’t feel the energy bump, that this brand provides.THIS STUFF wants to turn to RESIN real fast upon entering the air environment,and is DARK BROWN strong smokey taste, which is exactly what it supposed to be and do. Being a powder,the Shilajit in it’s pure form, OOZES from the Himalayan mountaintops and is processed to powder. My “TREKKER” described this brand as “INTERESTING”. I do use the unprocessed stuff, but supplement it with this,due to the high cost of the pure, but mainly due to a rationed supply. There is a regimen which I seek, which can extend life from 100-1000 years. I experienced an IMMEDIATE improvement in the specified, bodily functions. I mix a teaspoon in a BOOST, high protein drink, shake it good, and it dissolves with no clumping. The smokey taste make the milky based BOOST tastes like a unique iced coffee. I transfer mine to a COBALT Blue Glass jar as this was a secret the Ancients used, as the sacred light spectrum keeps it charged. Three times a day for me. 100 Grams per package, the recommended dose is 1 gram per day, to START.{1000mg} Significantly increased my energy level,speaking only for myself at 60 years old.
