Superb red pepper, they do have different flavors and this one is top notch. Good heat but not the crazy hear one or two companies sell these days. Good bargain, I’ll knock this out in 8 months then order again. Cayenne is good for you, improves circulation and lowers BP read up on it doctors used to keep it in their little Dr. bags on house calls, the Chinese doctors were using it in BC times. Cayenne is over $6 for a couple of ounces at Walmart so this is the way to go. I don’t think it loses any potency if you plan on keeping it for a year or two for eggs, grits, burgers, gumbo, red beans and rice, pizza, fried and grilled chicken, rib rubs, turkey rubs, pot roast, everything but sweets and steaks. Avoid rubbing your eyes if it’s on your fingers.

Aroma is great, flavor is better. Overall I personally have saved quite a bit of money ordering the bulk spices we use at our house constantly every week I was spending 5 bucks to 30 dollars in just spices. Doing this we have saved so much money in bulk ordering 100/10.

I was thrilled to find this size. I’ve always used red pepper to repel rabbits, so it was great to find a really large container at a good price. I use an old shaker bottle with pre-cut holes in the lid and dust the area around the plants they like best. We’ve been overrun with rabbits this year, and I managed to save a few hostas they had already attacked by spreading this around the plants. The only drawback is that you have to be careful to not get it in your eyes or nose (avoid windy days!) and try to sprinkle it all around, but not on, the plants. Covering the plant does repel the little monsters, but bright orange hostas look a little weird.
