This skirt is good quality for the price point. It is nice and full, and runs a tad bit large. So if you are in between I would maybe size down. Nice stretchy waistband so lots of room there to still be comfortable.

I absolutely love all of the skirts I’ve gotten from Scarlet Darkness. I think this is my fifth one I’ve gotten. They’re all comfy, but this one is extra comfy. The pockets are my favorite thing about these skirts! They’re great for dressing up for Ren Faire and for every day wear. For what it’s worth, I’m 5’1″ and about 215 lbs and the XXL fits perfectly.

I love it! These Scarlet Darkness skirts work for Renaissance, Steampunk, and Pirate and they’re Edgy, Flirty, fun! Full A-line skirt with lots of interesting textures and layers and the way it moves when just walking around looks amazing. And with accessories like different kinds of corsets, etc. available from Scarlet Darkness there are so many ways to make it work with so many genres, but most of all it can just be worn casually as it soooo comfortable. I loved it so much I had to get 2 more in different colors. Very well made with a knee length liner, cool material, and there are even pockets!

I love this skirt! Got it in dark blue and it’s a staple of my wardrobe that’s been missing since around when I graduated high school 🙂
It’s nice and flowy, and I actually like the material. It’s not too heavy, “twirls” well, and is really easy to steam so that it doesn’t look like the wrinkled tissue paper that it comes looking like after you take it out of the packaging and wash it. Good length, I can wear mine around the hips or the waist (I’m 5′ 8″ so at the waist it hits my lower calf and at the hips it hits the floor) but if you prefer to not be “squeezed” around your hips, maybe size up!
Someone else mentioned that the skirt isn’t pleated or tiered so much as having “flaps” around it that angle down diagonally around the skirt. It sounds bizarre, I’ll admit I find it unique, but it’s in no way a turn-off. The flaps fly up and twirl with the rest of the skirt when you spin 🙂
I think the price the the thing that made me hesitate the most when I bought this, so that’s why I didn’t give it a 5/5 rating. I do think they are asking a bit much for what they are selling, but not excessively so. I did buy the skirt, I have worn it and will wear it again, I love the look, I don’t regret my purchase. And I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t want to pay what Scarlett Darkness/Amazon is asking for.

I was so surprised and pleased with this skirt. The fabric is beautiful and has a sheen that reminds me of silk. At first I thought I wasn’t going to like the color, but when I got it out of the bag, the skirt practically glows. It will be gorgeous in any color. The skirt itself has all these odd little flaps and pieces that hang from it and give it a raggedy but full quality. I love it!!!
I’m toying with the idea of storing this skirt crammed in a plastic bag. I know it sounds strange, but the wrinkles actually enhance the total look. It would also be a great broomstick skirt. You do that by getting a skirt damp and then scrunching it together at the hem and waist. You hold the top and hem scrunched with rubber bands, then start twisting until the whole thing begins to fold into a knotted shape. Then you can hold the whole thing in shape with more rubber bands or string. Let it dry and you have a nifty wrinkled skirt. You can also bunch a skirt made of cotton or other natural fiber, like this one, around a broom stick and hold it in place with rubber bands.
I’m always glad for the practical addition of pockets. The skirt fits well and has a drawstring in addition to the elastic. The medium fits me at low ankle length. (I’m short at 5’2″.) Above all, I enjoy looking and feeling feminine. I also enjoy an innovative design and this skirt is a true work of art.

I Love this skirt. I wore it for the first time today and got at least 10 remarks from other women young and old on how beautiful the skirt is. It is well made and extremely comfortable. It is very feminine and has such nice flowing movement to it. I really like the unique cut of the skirt. It may not be everybody’s taste but I feel it was an excellent purchase at a reasonable price. Very happy with my purchase and I am looking for my next one now.
(I just hand washed the skirt let it hang dry and then put it in the dryer on permanent press with a damp cloth came out perfect)

Very pretty, true to size. Elastic at the waist, but material doesn’t stretch. It’s long, so if you’re 5’4 or below, you’ll have to hem it, wear it at your natural waist, or flip the waist down. It has pockets!!

A very beautiful skirt it was even nicer than the pictures and I was very pleased with the fit. The price was also very affordable. The color was also perfect as many times the color you select is close but not the same as shown. I also like the fabric, very light and flowing, soft and very comfortable.
