Andrew Zeigarnik –
The stones are really nice, and I don’t regret buying them at all. The price is quite reasonable, especially considering how well-made they are. A kilo is probably the minimum you need to really see the variety and appreciate how they look. The polishing is incredible — I honestly can’t imagine how they did it. It’s so perfect that it almost makes them look unreal. Some people in my family still think they can’t be real stones. They feel great in the hand and they’re fun to look at. Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase.
That said, I have to admit my first impression wasn’t that positive. I got the package in the evening and checked the stones under artificial light. They didn’t look as good as I expected. Even the next morning, when I photographed them in natural light, they still didn’t look like the pictures. And when you receive something that doesn’t match the photos, it’s always disappointing. Maybe the high-gloss polishing makes them very dependent on the lighting you view them under.
The other annoying part was the shipping. The seller used 4PX, and honestly, this service shouldn’t be used on Amazon. It’s below Amazon’s usual standards. I received a message saying, “Unfortunately, 4PX couldn’t complete your delivery and is holding it for you to pick up.” Which was simply not true — they didn’t even try to deliver it to my home. They shipped it straight to the pickup point. The SMS had the address but didn’t even mention that the package was from Amazon. Instead of getting it at home, I had to go pick it up myself.
The delivery was faster than expected, though. I placed the order on October 31, and it arrived in Israel from China on November 17 — a whole month earlier than the stated date of December 17. The packaging wasn’t as good as what Amazon usually uses, but it did its job, and nothing was damaged — though nothing fragile was inside anyway.
So, in short: don’t expect miracles. Don’t trust the promo photos too much, and don’t expect international shipping to be cheap ($5), high-quality, and fast all at once.
