It comes decently packaged in a sealed plastic bag. The expiration date is March 2026. Some is very powdery/dusty and other pieces are large dried leaves, twigs, and wood chunks (mostly what I expected). I was not expecting as high a quantity of dusty, crashed material though looking back at the product picture it is true to that.
The earthy spice odor can be smelled through the bag.
I made a tea with it as I did not want to try the other suggested preparations.
