They have an opalescent kind of shine, but the clasp doesn’t equal the beauty of the shell. It’s a cheap steel hook. I wish for the price (I think they were around $20) could have used a sterling European clasp. If you touch your thumb and pointer finger together, you can get an idea how big they are. Very eye-catching.
