This is such a pretty bracelet! I really like the natural, irregular shape of the gemstone beads because it gives the piece a more organic, handmade look rather than looking overly polished or mass-produced. This bracelet is strung with a selection of vibrant orange, fire opal beads.
The beads are strung in a pretty ombré pattern, with the darkest orange in the center and the lighter oranges, into whites, by the clasp. It makes for a very pretty design.
The stone is called fire opal, but I do not notice much of the opalescent properties that you’d see with the opal varieties most people are familiar with, like an Ethiopian opal for example.
The stones are basically a selection of very pretty, vibrant orange breeds that are slightly translucent.
I think they hold their own just fine, even without having that opalescent sheen.
They’re so vibrantly orange that I’d expect them to be treated in some way.
The photo of the bracelet in my arm in the sunlight is not color adjusted..that’s how vibrant the orange colors are. It looks like I’ve trapped flame into tiny beads and wear them on my wrist.
The clasp is a standard lobster claw style claps. There is a length of chain which the clasp can grasp onto, which allows you to size the bracelet to your wrist. I’d say I have average sized adult wrists. It fits me well. It can go larger or smaller too. The end of the clasp chain has a single orange stone attached. The solitary stone adds to the look of the bracelet, elevating it.
The metal is silver plated. It’s held up fine for me so far. I wear my bracelets to bed and in the shower, so I guess you could say I’m hard on them. So far this has held up to the abuse. I haven’t had it on very long though, about 2 weeks.
Overall I think this is a beautiful, affordable bracelet. If you are on a budget and need to get a gift, this is a fun idea.
I’m not even an “orange” girl, but I love the color. I think most people would enjoy the stone color because of how it shines in the light.
