The teardrop Opal is so tiny compared to what the picture shows online. Also, you can tell it’s not real. It looks like glitter instead of more of a opal tone and design the online pictures make it look more realistic, even though it is faux opal. Returned it.

This was a totally blind “buy” for me in the most literal sense there were no photos in the Amazon listing when I ordered it. (Though I didn’t exactly buy it, I got it through Amazon vine in exchange for my honest review). I decided to wing it anyway because I love fun costume jewelry, and after years of only buying real gold and more expensive pieces, I have been intentionally branching out and having more fun with accessories. I also previously ordered earrings from this same brand as a gift for someone, and ended up wanting to keep them for myself because they were so beautiful and unique. I didn’t keep them but certainly will be ordering more from this brand.
My costume jewelry collection has grown quite a bit, but I do not actually own many chokers. I have exactly one, so this technically makes two, although I am not even sure I would call this a true choker. It is more of a very short chain that sits close to the collarbone.
The necklace itself is really pretty in person. The gold tone is surprisingly nice and does not look overly brassy or artificial. The blue opal pendant is the standout. It is small, dainty, and very sparkly with a bright teal turquoise flash that catches the light beautifully. I love that it is delicate rather than oversized since that is my personal preference for jewelry.
While it is not exactly my usual everyday style, it is definitely cute and wearable, especially if you like colorful, feminine jewelry. I can see myself reaching for it when I want a simple pop of color or to layer with other necklaces.
Overall, for a blind purchase with no listing photos, this ended up being a really pleasant surprise. If you enjoy dainty, colorful jewelry with an ocean inspired feel, this is a fun little piece to add to your collection.

18K gold‑plated opal choker necklace
(based on the piece I received)
My 18K gold‑plated opal choker necklace arrived last week in a brown Amazon packing envelope. Inside was the jewelry box, which was also wrapped in a small clear cellophane sleeve. The box has “Mchic” embossed on the top, and it’s one of those fun slide‑out styles I enjoy. A ribbon pulls the inner box from the outer sleeve, and as it moves, two clear windows reveal the necklace and the petite blue‑toned opal pendant inside. Once the inner box is free, I press the top edge and the lid lifts so I can pick up the necklace. It’s a simple process, but it adds a little anticipation to the unboxing.
The opal teardrop pendant is small but beautiful. This opal has a deep blue coloring with shifting tones inside that give it extra depth. The chain is small and dainty, which suits the pendant’s size.
Because the necklace is on the petite side, I had my granddaughter wear it for the photos. It fits her size and style perfectly. We made sure to keep her face out of the video since she’s a young teen. She wore it with a black top, which really made the opal stand out, but I can see it pairing well with many colors.

This is a pretty necklace. It looks exactly as pictured in the listing. The chain is fine and delicate. The gold is bright and lovely. The double chain is unique and adds interest. The gemstone is a vibrant and sparkly blue, and really stands out against the gold. There is a standard clasp and it’s easy to operate. There are several extra loops at the end of the chain to make the overall length adjustable by about an inch. Overall, I like this necklace and I think it would make a nice gift.

I am not typically a necklace wearer, but I absolutely love the color blue and wanted to see how this dainty gold pendant would look. I am so glad I tried it! While I don’t wear it on a daily basis, it gives just the right amount of a pop of color whenever I style it with an off-the-shoulder top. I’ve even received a few compliments on it, especially from people who know that necklaces aren’t usually my thing. My only minor complaints are that the chains were a bit twisted when I was putting it on, requiring some patience to untangle, and it feels delicate enough that I worry it might break easily over time. However, for under $13 USD, it is a very cute, budget-friendly accessory that is definitely worth it!

This necklace is a very dainty little piece and honestly looks nicer in person than I expected. The opal is definitely lab-created, which is exactly what I would expect at this price point, but it still has a beautiful bright blue glow with lots of sparkle and color shift. It really catches the light nicely and stands out more than I thought it would for such a tiny stone.
The pendant itself is very small, so keep that in mind before purchasing. Personally, I still think it’s adorable and elegant, especially if you like minimalist jewelry or layering necklaces.
The chain feels surprisingly durable for such a delicate-looking necklace. The gold tone is pretty and not overly yellow or fake looking. I’ve worn it for several hours and it did not irritate my skin or leave any weird green marks or discoloration, which is always a concern for me with inexpensive plated jewelry.
Overall, this is a sweet little accessory with a very eye-catching opal color. It’s a lovely necklace and a good value for the price.

This choker has a nice-looking opal pendant. I got the pink opal version for my daughter. It has a short gold-plated chain that is about 16 inches long with a lobster clasp and a short extender. The pendant features a small round pink opal, approximately 1/4 inch in diameter, that sparkles with green and yellow inner reflections that shift under different lighting angles.
My daughter likes the pendant but wishes the chain was a bit longer.
Overall, this is a well-made choker with an attractive opal pendant.
