My soon-to-be husband purchased this for me as an engagement ring . Opal is my absolute most favorite stone ! I have never understood why anyone in their right mind would prefer some run-of-the-mill diamond over such a beautiful & unique stone such as the Opal . I believe most people these days think you have to spend thousands of dollars on some ‘gold diamond ring’ in order to impress their wife , which is truly a shame . Especially when their are so many other truly amazing , beautiful & eye-catching stones to choose from ! I guess that is just societies way of doing things , not my style .. I don’t need to be impressed with the price of a ring , I want to feel the true thoughtfulness that was put in to picking the perfect one for me ! I always told him that Opal is my favorite , thankfully , he listened ! He truly picked the perfect ring ! He definitely knows what I like ! I am so proud of him for his outstanding choice ! He knows his lady , that’s for sure ! Enough raving about how proud I am of my husband .. The ring itself is absolutely beautiful . The stone is cut to perfection & rounded to show off the array of colors . It is super-smooth to the touch & polished the correct way for an Opal to be ! Not too shiney when the light hits it , so it want take away from the colors inside . (That’s how an opal should be cut and polished , too shiney & it ruins the effect !) The stone itself is crystal clear , vibrant & beautiful ! The colors inside the stone are one-of-a-kind pastel shades ranging from the base-color of crystal-white , to pinks , blues , greens , yellows , orange & purples ! It’s like a pastel-fire inside the stone . Everyway the light hits it , it just lights up more & more ! I have never seen such a perfect Opal ! The colors are evenly distributed through-out the entire stone , which is rare & awesome , because every stone is completely different like a fingerprint ! I couldn’t be happier with the Opal itself ! As for the actual ring , the metal design is uniquely beautiful & very well made ! Antique-style , which is my favorite ! I know I can wear it for years to come & it will hold up to the test ! I’ve already been gardening in it 3 days in a row & it still shimmers & shines like I just took it out the box ! Stainless steel will never rust or fade like gold & silver , which is a definite plus in my book ! And in my personal opinion , stainless steel is equally beautiful ! I am totally confident that my beautiful ring will stand the test of time ! I am truly blessed with a perfect man that knows my style inside & out .
