After looking for a tea light substitute for our luminaries I took a chance on these and am not disappointed. Out of the 100, one was a little dimmer than that others but was easily fixed with a new battery. The lights are the perfect amount of bright and have just enough flicker to look like a real flame.
The faux candles were on for 17 hours and were still going strong when I turned them off (see last image of them in the paper bag). They survived a night outside in the rain and were easy to dry and the sand cleaned right off. I am amazed at how awesome these are for the price paid and look forward to years of use. These emit enough light that they would work well in a power outage to help illuminate the space or add a safe candle light romantic glow to a space. 10/10 would buy again.

Ok, I have ALWAYS been obsessed with candles. My mom always burned candles when I was growing up and I always have as an adult. But they get expensive after a while, especially with how much and often I burn them. Off a whim I ordered some of these and honestly, I love the ambiance from these better than real candles!! They are such a warm and cozy color!! The battery lasts forever!! And they are such a good price I just order more when the batteries die, lol. I don’t throw them out, so I’m not wasting them. I’m sure I’ll find a use for them someday. But Homemory is BY FAR the best battery operated candle company I’ve come across. You will not be disappointed with these. You can see them all across the fireplace mantel. I have them all over the house. I ended up putting even more down around the actual fire place as well. You can never have too many!! It’s also great they come with batteries!!!

Holy crow, these were great. Used for haunted trail in a forest and SUPER EFFECT; quite a lot of light and the candle flicker was Spielberg level cool. Very realistic. No fire danger. Liked … LIKE … ’em so much I still use them what? NINE months later. They ran a good 4 hours that night if not more (some I forgot about until next day) but damn if ALL are still glowing strong. Also good to toss at the 3 young nephews here when staying in their tent or running around in evening. I use them as actual candles still … or a night light as very powerful. Not typical or intended feature but hey, they still LOOK like candles when/if the batteries go and YOU CAN REPLACE THEM or, as I accidentally did, remove the candle translucent body to reveal the NON GLASS LED and ramps up the illumination. I’m in Montana mountains and several times had to use as a flashlight or see WTF is going on, even to light a dang furnace pilot and honestly like a super bright candle except for the burning your hair off part. … Lot to yammer about a flickering VOTIVE candle but honestly impressed at core quality, value AND performance.

My expectations for these were very low—and I haven’t yet gone through a full charge cycle requiring battery replacement, so I can’t speak to longevity—but regarding light level, color, and soft flicker, I can attest that they’re true to what’s advertised. They’re not attractive when not illuminated, but they fit into any standard votive candle holder, if you want to hide the plastic shell. That said, they’re small enough to be unobtrusive when not lit, so I don’t mind them sitting on a bookshelf. The peace of mind of not using votives (i.e., the scented IKEA type) is what makes them worth the purchase for me. When I want to quiet the room and have the light level down and dispersed, I can fill the room with these and not worry about what’s above or near them, or accidentally dislodging one and ending up with a wax burn or something far worse. Honestly, they’re also easier on the lungs than having multiple candles burning, whether scented or not. I’m not proud of using another plastic product, but I am relieved that in an emergency—storm or other power loss situation—these would travel well and be long-lasting.

The quality feels quite cheap and plasticky. Each candle is powered by three button cell batteries, which are difficult to replace. The candles are barely visible in well-lit areas, such as those with LED lights. They only stand out in darker environments, limiting their usefulness. I tried placing them on my rooftop, but they were hardly noticeable. While they may seem affordable, they’re ultimately a waste of money. Instead, I recommend the IKEA GODAFTON LED Tealight. It’s a bit pricier, but it looks much more premium, lasts for days, and uses easily replaceable CR2032 batteries.

These would look great to set out by themselves, or to place in a tealight holder! I am using them by themselves!
They look like wax when you are just looking at them. If you hold them closeup, you can tell they are not.
They flicker beautifully! Although I have seen very expensive versions that look like a real flame, I am very happy with this more inexpensive version! I want the overall effect of flickering candles! And these are a great value for the money!
These are not remote controlled – they have to be turned off and on manually. The bottoms open so that batteries can be replaced. I do not know, other than Amazon description, how long the battery will last, as I am getting them as a gift.
The photo of the offrenda table was not quite complete, but it shows the overall concept. It was a beautiful additions to the Mother’s 90th birthday!

These are nice battery operated candles. Their brightness is just right for my purposes and, when I look at them continuously, I can notice them flickering. It is very subtle. I haven’t seen them shut off automatically, so I don’t think they have that feature. I wish they did. But they do stay lit with their battery for quite a long time. In fact, the ones I’m using have yet to quit working, even though I’ve been using them for about a month.
I have about six of them in two candle holders in my bedroom to create a peaceful environment. I was having trouble sleeping. The light created by the candles relaxes me. I now even leave them lit while I sleep, as a night light. The level of brightness is like candlelight, but isn’t so much that it keeps me awake.
The nice thing about the package is that there’s 28, so, when I take six, I still have a lot left. This package would be a good buy for the holidays, when I use a lot of candles.
My complaint is that they’re made of a light plastic. That’s good because it allows light to illuminate them, but bad because it makes their appearance less like real candles. The shape is a lot like a burning candle, but I think a drip or two in the design would improve it and the texture could be 100% better. I’ve gotten battery operated candles that felt more waxy and that’s what I wish these had.
But I am happy with my purchase. For the money, the amount of candles you get, and the quality they do have, despite the changes I wished for, they are worth the price. I recommend them when you want battery operated votives that will stay lit with a soft glow for a long time.
