Do be careful who sells it through Amazon!!!!!!!; You could be waiting almost a lifetime (in my opinion)!
Being one of the most cynical people where if you cant see it, it doesn’t exist; when i first read this book, and with intrigue kept going, it was most remarkable.
Having read it some years ago, and seeing the other reader comments later, I’d only imagine they were reading having had some pre-concedved expectation.
All I can say is, that my heightened awareness is at such a degree, I can pin point any individuals deficiencies so quickly, I know post will fall through my door in advance, a policeman/woman will be sitting around the next corner if that seat left is not on, and when how so surprised people are when you turn around to those that have been speaking about you in confidence but not hearing a word and then looking them straight in the eye, because you some how just how exactly what had been said. That really does make them feeling somewhat at loss. All as long as you have learnt how to relax, become at ease with your self and then turn it on and off as you need. We all have to work and take our own time.
Those where my hands have been placed, have without any doubt, could not comprehend how possible things can be, and I still, even after all this time, wonder why, and how, but needs to keep going.
If you, or I can stop asking why? when the mind starts relaxing because of the things that present themselves, oh how quickly things move to another dimension.
Read it, work through the sections, and i’d be extremely surprised if you haven’t been incredibly blown away by the outcome!

It’s a really good book and I’m learning a lot from it. You kind of get the idea that she is still afraid of people not trusting in her so she seems a little hesitant and really pushes her credentials and the need for you to have credentials in order to become a valid healer. That’s just her life experience and it’s great information and you can cherry pick from what resonates with you

This book is sort of an authority on the structure of the human energetic system, in my opinion. Barbara Brennan describes the human auric fields and the “chakras” within them in a way which shows considerable insight and is written in a precise and accessible way. However, just because it’s “accessible” doesn’t mean that it’s a wham bam thank you ma’am kind of book- it’s one to come back to, along with her follow-up book “Light Emerging”.
Other than the very good descriptions of the various levels of the human system, I found it particularly interesting that she describes the development of a human from birth (in fact, before birth) to adulthood. She talks about how the chakras develop and gives a fascinating perspective on very natural actions that children take, such as when they will nuzzle up to their parents.
Also, she talks about various “defense mechanisms” that we have, and describes the inter-personal interactions that these bring about with other people. Reflecting on these phenomena from the perspective of a play of energy was quite fascinating, I thought.
Overall, I would say that if you have any inclination to read something that will give you more insight into your physical/energetic/psychological/spiritual/combination-of-all-of-these makeup as a human being, give it a shot.

Functioning as much like a belief system as a healing manual, every area of subtle medicine is covered. This is a BIG book that will take you a long time to read, but similarly to Touch For Health by John Thie and Matthew Thie, as well as Healing With The Chakra Energy System by John Cross, this is a must-have if you are serious about subtle energy medicine.

I was blown away by the depth & detail of information in this book. It did kind of overwhelm me in that I wondered how I’d ever be able to “see” what dad sees and understands.
My only objection: Book is missing Figures 7-2 thru 7-6. And they are crucial to me to visualizing what it is I am seeing (which chakra/layer am I seeing?). I think I’m seeing from inside out instead of outside in as most ppl do, so the pictures will help me distinguish & be able to move Mu focus—hopefully.
This is really a printing problem so I’m not sure how I can solve it. I’ve had the book too long to return.

I didnt realize this at the time, but “hands of light” is actually a text book to the brennan healing science. the scope of this healing modality is amazing — i’ve been learning about all sort of healing modalities for years, and bhs is one of the most comprehensive i’ve come across. it’s not only about working with energy and the aura, but also delves into the deeper beliefs that cause imbalance and eventually illness. it covers many practical elements and exercises that have been helpful to me in terms of quieting my mind and getting energy flowing. barbara shares words from her personal guide, and acknowledges the role of guides, angels, and god in healing. there’s a ton of specific info in this book, and i found it very helpful and inspiring.
