Super fun but wow the material is so hard even after putting them in water for 30 min. My son gave up trying after an hr of working on getting the gems out. Wish they were softer and easier for children to do.

My kid love rocks and gem stones. We got him this to dig stones out and keep him busy. He absolutely loved it. It kept him busy for hours. He thought it was so cool to break the stones out of the blocks. He said it was like mining in Minecraft. It came with a booklet to go over the different stones and was educational. I would recommend you do this outside if potor in an area you don’t mind getting dirty because it does make a mess.

My daughter is an aspiring geologist and she loved this kit! The stones were a great size and a great variety. She did struggle with one of the blocks and at some point became frustrated and threw it on the driveway. Unfortunately, the amethyst broke. It was a great purchase! Would buy again.
