I have been in the semiprecious stones business for over three decades. Surprisingly, 90% of the “turquoise” stones on the market are fake! The majority are dyed howlite and magnesite, while the rest consist of one of the 38 imitation turquoise stones.
When I purchased this item from Amazon, I intended to return it after write a professional review to help others avoid falling into the trap of fake turquoise sellers. To my surprise, I received a genuine turquoise nugget and can’t believe I only paid $22 for it! That said, proceed at your own risk, as the seller may unknowingly send you a fake one!
