Update – I received my order of 14mm moonstone today and I’m very pleasantly surprised. They are much clearer than the ad photos. More flash. Zero complaints with this strand.
Update – I bought more and they are 8mm rather than 7.7mm but they are so much more cloudy and milky than the strand I ordered from the same seller only weeks before. Inconsistent. I can’t recommend buying more than a strand at a time. I ordered 4 strands this last time and I’m not very happy with them. I wouldn’t have bought so many if I had known the quality wouldn’t be the same.
Just got these yesterday and love them! I’ve bought other places and found a lot of black spots but not with Gem-Inside beads – if ordered from Gem-inside. Really pretty. These are closer to 7.7 mm if that matters to anyone.

The stones are nice but the hole is small and will not allow or not at all, a 1mm stretch cord. A few will but you can’t use all of them. Trying to make the hole bigger can crack the stone. You can bevel cut the end of the cord or try stretching, it’s not always successful but certainly frustrating. You would use .5 to .75 mm stretch string or use 8 mm stones.
I make jewelry, the smaller mm stretch strings break easier and stretch out faster in bracelets due to some wearers be rough with on and off.
If you use 6mm stones and 1 mm cord, be aware you may not be able to use the prettiest stones unless you change the string size, use wire or beading floss/thread.
