Makes great tea. I use it with turmeric and stevia as a sweetener, and a bit of organic Ceylon cinnamon as well. Very healthy and a great flavor. There are granules and small root slices here, so this is not good for direct addition to smoothies. However, I used the coffee/nut grinding blades for my Magic Bullet Blender and it produced a fine powder that does enhance smoothies very well.
Yep, read all directions & descriptions ;) –
Exactly the way I like it, cut and sifted and really good ginger.

This really is a wonderful product. Very high quality! I use it pretty much everyday to help with my digestion. I can tell a difference with how I fell after using this for a week. I’ve had even better results when I mix ginger and burdock root together in my tea. Now I’m adding Nettle to my tea, but I can’t tell a difference with that. It’s the burdock and ginger that have dramatically increased my health and stabilized my IBS and made my stools normal. (Note: I bought burdock root but haven’t used what I’ve bought yet, I’ve been using what I dug up from my backyard in the fall. So I don’t know if there will be a difference between what you can purchase and what you dig up and dry yourself. I can tell you that the smells are VERY different. The root I dug up and dried myself has a pleasant burdocky smell, whereas the stuff I bought smells like tree bark)

Flavor and value for organic, non-irradiated ginger are both very good. Always had satisfying results from Frontier products after a dozen or so purchases. I bought this to use in place of the powdered ginger I previously purchased from them because I needed something I could put in my tea balls or sift out through a strainer when I make my tea. The individual pieces were smaller than I expected, but big enough to suit my needs. Knock on presentation is because it’s advertised as cut and sifted and my bag has quite a bit of powdery ginger in there as well so I sometines have to re-sift it before using so that I don’t get the residue in my cup.
Will still buy again, but if the powdery residue is in that one as well, I’ll have to move to a different one until I can get fresh organic ginger locally for a good price.

I ordered this by mistake and it is not returnable. I meant to order the powdered ginger, but after using this form it has become my favorite! I simmer it for about 12 minutes to make a strong tea, refrigerate, and then dilute it as I drink it. The flavor is very full and there is no powder residue like I had with the ground ginger. I’ve tried various powdered varieties and fresh ginger, but the dried root is by far the best to me. This is a good quality product.

Perfect for tea. Great taste. I can usually steep it twice. I will definitely be buying this again.

I have purchased it for several times. The first time I was a little disappointed because I thought it was sliced. Later I gave it a try and discovered that the quality is actually very good. Since then I kept buying it. I have arthritis. I boil about one and half tea spoons in a big pot of water and keep drinking it throughout the entire day. After drinking it for about 4 months, I feel it helped to improve my fingers pain.

Great for loose leaf ginger tea, fresh taste, good value.
