Jane Grey –
I purchased these for home sprouting. This is my first attempt in this and it was both easy and productive. Using 32oz ball jars, I found 2 tablespoons of seeds was too much and ended up crowding the jar and, in the end, producing more sprouts than I desired. I split the batch into 2 jars before harvesting to improve ability to rinse & drain. I recommend 1 tablespoon of these seeds per 32 oz glass jar. I believe I harvested after 4 days.
Be aware of the risk of food-bourne illness related to consumption of sprouts. I never see this mentioned in product pages and reviews. Pay deliberate & careful attention to cleanliness and take care to rinse and allow airflow to seeds while growing and while storing. I enjoy sprouts, attempt to exercise this caution, and consume sprouts knowing there are risks. Just be sure to do a little research on the topic to reduce risk.

1/4 through the bag so far. What a value! Delicious easy micro-greens. Paid $36 for 3 lbs in April 25
TM –
They sprout! Consistent sprouting, clean, delicious. Pictures are (left) sprouts currently eating, (right) almost ready, needs another 1-2 days. I mix red clover seed in with the alfalfa (about 5% clover.) I out the jar on the window sill last day to green the leaves.

I recently started sprouting and I am so happy with the results of these alfalfa seeds. I will definitely purchase them again when needed.

sprouting well. lots of germination, grows as expected. using them for microgreens great. work best in soil but also done decent on paper towel and hydroponics.
This batch 6 grams of seed turns into around 140-200g micro greens. more weight just before true leaf, obviously. Sowing 1011 trays with 6g seed great.

As my first attempt to sprout anything I was really pleased with how perfectly these seeds germinated, grew to harvest in 6 days (day one being the overnight soaking), and tasted mild and fresh and crunchy. I used a plastic, stacking, seed sprouter available on Amazon which also really worked perfectly. The instructions on the package for growing the seeds are clear and produced great results. I rinsed twice a day as instructed.

If there should be a national disaster we have been trained to strip store shelves in a panic. Thankfully we are not facing such an event (sort of). Lettuce is inshort supply, costing a small Ransom to purchase. These tiny seeds produce part of a lettuce replacement. They do sprout easily and rapidly. They taste great on sandwiches on a salad or a sandwich. Low cost in bulk and well worth the cost.

These Alfalfa seeds are excellent. I’ve done a few batches now and they are way better than others I have ordered from others. They all sprout and taste great! Keep up the great quality. Will buy again when I run out. Thanks

These seeds germinate fast which is great and taste great too. No waste as the germination rate is excellent! I am so happy with this product!

I’ve tried a variety of sprouts, and I just like the alfalfa better than all the others. It’s a small sprout unlike bean sprouts, and it works so well on sandwiches as well as my salads. It takes about five days to germinate, and then needs a day in the sun to produce chlorophyl (sp?) and give it it’s green color. It will store for 5-7 days in a baggie with the air squeezed out of the bag. You can use a very inexpensive sprouting jar. I think I paid about $10 for mine. It’s basically a mason jar-type glass container with a plastic lid that has holes in it. You’ll wash the sprouts twice a day and drain the water. About day five, place jar in the sun all day, and the water is gone, and the sprouts are nice and dry so that they don’t wilt as quickly in the refrigerator.

This is a good bag of sprout seeds. I have made several bunches of sprouts. I use the upside down mason jar method so it does drain a little in the tray. Most all the seed sprout it is common for some seeds to not sprout and you get some crunchiness leftover. It’s very easy to gtow. Just put a couple tablespoons in the mason jar with the water and let it do it stuff. We have fun watching it’s growth from day-to-day.

I sprout these for my poultry because they love them so much!
My last bag arrived with a hole in it. I contacted Amazon to get a replacement and I’m so glad because at least half the bag had leaked out. They resolved the issue.
I like the sprouts too but it’s a daily treat for my turkeys and chickens as you can tell by the photos.
Thankfully they are easy to sprout because I do not have a green thumb!
