The first time I took Triphala was as a kid. My mom made me try it for good stomach health. It was home ground mixture and I believe had a little sugar in it as it didn’t take that bad. Been 30 years to that but the medicine has grown in popularity as stomach issues have also become more common. I got this because I always have struggled to get made in India triphala in US. The taste of Amla (Gooseberries) is always different between Indian and other varieties. This is my review.
1. The flavor is great. I know, for many people, the taste can be too strong. You can mix powdered sugar (25% sugar) to it to make it palatable and slowly reduce sugar.
2. The effect of Triphala is to streamline your digestive system.
3. The packaging is quite good. it is eco friendly but water proof.
4. The portion size on the product is way too high. Realistically, your portion size is about 5 grams 🙂

This is my first time using the “Triphala Powder | 8 oz Resealable Pouch | USDA Organic | Gluten Free | Non-GMO | Amla, Behada, and Haritaki Formula | Herbal Powder | Ayurvedic Supplement | Add to Beverages” So I appreciate Darsa Organics provides so much information on the bag and listing. The fine, light-colored powder tastes quite dry, bitter and strong on its own. The bag suggests consuming it by mixing it with water, milk, or honey. I like adding it to a cup of tea in the evening. The teas are always different with a variety of leaves, seeds, flowers, powders, dried berries etc. Since this is a new product for me, I am starting very slowly until I know how my body accepts it. Some use it intentionally for a laxative effect so I am making sure to stay under the amounts I found in a google search. Starting slow and working my way up. Will be beneficial to know this information should I need those effects in the future. The information in the listing matches what is on the bag I received. The powder arrives in a pouch/bag with a ziplock-type closure that benefits from the help of a binder clip due to powder getting caught. I received my bag in March 2024 and its Best By date is September 2025. Product of India.

I’m trying to collect a stockpile of alternative or homeopathic supplements in capsule, liquid, leaf, and powder form. I’ve never heard of triphala powder, but there’s always a lot of information out there on the bark. Not all supplements have FDA approval, but this one has it. This triphala is produced and packaged in India. That being said, any supplements I use are recorded on my medical records just in case I have any sort of reaction.
The ingredient label simply states this is triphala powder. There are some suggestions for use, but I’ve spotted more on the Internet. There is a claim that this powder does help with digestion, among other things. It does have a Best By date stamped on the packaging. I do like this brand (love it actually) and have enjoyed sampling several of their products. I like the fact that it’s in a resealable bag that has a window in which I could actually see the triphala powder
A Creative Life –
I just started using triphala a couple of months ago because I wanted to avoid constipation that could come from my current ketogenic diet. I had been taking it in pills with good effect but overall I’m trying to switch from pills to tinctures, liquids, and powders. I was really happy when I found this, I love that it’s organic, it dissolves very easily, but it does have a bitter taste, so I’ve been sprinkling it into salads and cooked foods while I try to get used to the taste in water. I also like where it says it’s “gently ground into a fine powder,” suggesting it’s not processed with high heat or machines that generate heat and destroy the product. The package seems like it’s larger than 8 ounces. I’m very happy with this product. I see reviews complaining about the taste where people have been using huge quantities at once. I was getting a very good effect taking 2 tiny capsules of triphala a day when I started, and after a while I was even able to switch to 1 cap a day, so you don’t need a heaping teaspoon at a time to get this to work.

Works as described; takes a while to get used to the bitter taste.
