First of all I liked the book design, color and the font used in the book – its very easy to read. The book covers all the important aspects of Reiki illustrated beautifully and simple to follow like – different levels of Reiki, info. about Chakras, meditation, various treatments, healing your clients, etc.. This is a great book for beginners. Teaches the Usui Ryoho Reiki healing system. You will still need to be attuned by a master practitioner. Great starting point for someone who is new to reiki.

This gives the hand positions. I think this was the main thing I wanted from this book. I don’t know about this reiki power. The only power I know of is the Holy Spirit power and usually that power is only given to Believers. After reading this book I guess you are qualified to practice reiki. I got this in hopes I could combine reiki with prayer. And I guess I can in a way that I could pray for someone using these hand positions. But harnessing energy from the earth sounds a bit strange to me. I don’t know. But the illustrations are good. I don’t think there is anything new in this book. I have read reiki books before and nothing in this one surprised me.

I am Reiki level 1. It offers visuals which is much appreciated. (visual style changes half way through and instead of hands it uses a circles which is unfortunate) Very easy to read and follow. It offers tips and tricks and basic understanding and explanations.
It also goes through the different levels which is very exciting.
It is not an in-depth ground-breaking book, but instead it is an awesome friendly guide which is exactly what I wanted =)
