Not equal to Yogi’s Egyptian Licorice and Mint tea. Keep cups to 10 oz or less or the taste flattens out. I don’t get any mint out of this. Just licorice, which is…okay. it seems stronger when the drink isn’t hot, so let it sit and steep for a bit.

First, I DO NOT LIKE LICORICE! But this amazing tea to me didn’t even taste like licorice! The aftertaste is what is so cool, it is sweet after you swallow it. Kind of similar to the hot sauce that doesn’t taste hot until after, then your tongue is burning, but in this instance, it is sweet! My husband thought the same thing and he doesn’t care for licorice either. I bought it based on other’s reviews. Glad I did! Nice treat that doesn’t raise blood sugar when you are on a diet!

I was looking for a tea that did not need sugar yet still tastes great. I found it. I steeped the bag for 7 minutes according to the instructions on the box. When you sip it, you taste the mint first, but the licorice flavor slides in unexpectedly at the end. It’s where the sweetness comes in. It’s absolutely delicious.

You won’t expect something flavored with licorice and mint be so good, but it is! I usually have other without sugar, and it makes great iced tea as well.
