Michael –
These flax seeds look clean, well-processed, and generally high quality. I only use a small amount at a time, usually to add a bit of texture or visual interest to whatever I’m making, so the taste doesn’t stand out much on its own which is fine for how I use them. They’re very easy to sprinkle into different dishes, and they work well for adding a little crunch or subtle variety in texture. As for any nutritional impact, I don’t use enough at once to notice anything significant, but they’re a simple, versatile ingredient to keep on hand. Overall, they do exactly what I need them to do.

Pretty good quality flax seeds, and their versatility beyond making vegan eggs is underestimated. For those who like to make their own seed butters, this is actually not a bad choice! This worked out great when whipping up some more seed butter, and it gave it a pleasantly bolder toasted and nutty flavor. I did need to cut back on the brown flax seed ratio because it was too overwhelming, but it still worked out fine. Comes in a big resealable plastic bag for more convenient storage, and expires a year from now (much more improved longevity if stored in the fridge/freezer!).

These are good quality flax seeds however I lost a tablespoon or two as I pulled them out. They spilled out from an inch long opening in the bottom of the original bag. The opening was in the bottom in a crease near the corner. I would have lost more but I managed to rescue another tablespoon or two of these flax seeds from inside the bottom of the blue and white plastic mailer. Open with caution!
