I was a little concerned about this, as costume jewelry is always hit and miss. It often doesn’t look like the picture, or the metal can cause discoloration on the skin.
My daughter has written it extensively over the past few weeks, and she lives it. It hasn’t tarnished at all, and it seems very durable. The chain and clasp after high quality and the stone seems well set in the prongs.
It’s the perfect size for her neck, giving room to hang down without going too low on the chest.
Overall, a very good acquisition. I recommend it for the current price of $35.

This birthstone layered necklace set is ok but the gold color is a little off and I consider it expensive for the price point at time of purchase ($34). The length is short so it’s best for those with thin necks or extenders can be used to add length, but it is reasonably strong and held up to several toddler “tug tests” when my grandson tried to remove it from my neck! Recently I did find identical sets online from other manufacturers for less than half of my purchase price of this set. All things considered this is a fairly poor purchase and I would not recommend this unless it was on an incredible sale.
