I’ve bought mucuna from the Himalaya company and that brand comes in capsules with no information on how much of the mucuna is present in the product besides having 250 milligrams in each capsule. It works and I never ventured into another mucuna brand to test their product until now. This Banyan Botanicals organic mucuna seems to work a lot better simply because it’s organic and it isn’t an extract of some sort. Just the plain seed powder after it was cooked. When you open a capsule from the Himalaya brand, it’s mostly brownish with black specs. The seed does come in black or white with specs, but unsure of the quality of that. It does work, but for the price of 1/2 pound compared to 60 capsules for 5 bucks, you get a lot more for your money here. Gonna see how it stacks up over time, but overall so far, this seems to give me energy and contentness along with the focus of having more dopamine in my brain. Recommend drinking with green tea for the comt enzyme and that’s what everyone has been saying about mucuna anyways. Sleep is excellent on this stuff too.

It works. Great for boosting Libido and over all happiness. I’m not suffering from depression and not on any other medication. I read that this helps with brain function and can help with smoking cessation. So far it work ok for me. It helps with the craving for cigarettes. I’ve only been using it a short time but the Dopamine keeps me satisfied so I’m not looking for a cigarette to calm my nerves when I’m stressed at work and I’m happier about working out and eating less. FOR ME it make me a happier person …. as I mentioned before it’s great for libido, I wasn’t using it for that but added to the list of benefits.
I take 1/2 teaspoon 2 times a day and I blend it with milk or coffee. The taste is not bad but can be a little gritty of not blended well, I thought it gave a little of a banana taste at first, but that went away after the 3 time.
I get so much work done when I take it.. it helps me think and focus. No side effects so far, so I’m going to keep using it. I would recommend it, but if you’re on other medication I suggest you talk to your doctor first.

I was not familiar with Kapikacchu but I am familiar with Banyan Botanicals and trust their brand and love ayurvedic medicine. I was drawn to this because of stress and depression. With the pandemic, political chaos, and overall how am I gonna pay my rent and eat feels….well I needed something to help me not become paralyzed emotionally in my day to days. This actually helped. I’m a fan of St. John’s Wort so this has a similar effect. To be honest, I did not put a lot of thought into it, I mixed 1/2 teaspoon in my earl grey tea and went about my day.
I was watching a channel on TV later that day that would usually trigger me….nah Im good…. boyfriend’s OCD was on hyper mode..nah I’m good. I just felt….CALM. Not a sedative feeling as I’m very animated with my gestures and feels, right…but after I would express my thoughts/feels or see something that would normally trigger me…it felt like I was able to shrug and move on. Again, I do not spend much time on social media or news channels by choice, and using this has allowed me to reset, reflect and enjoy my moments without a feeling of fear and scarcity. I do this from time to time where I don’t watch anything but I’m still triggered by fam or friends or people in general. So I do recommend this if you are a total EMPATH and yuh get triggered easily and revert to anger or tears. Good stuff.

I purchased this product to help someone control the tremors of Parkinson’s. Previously, he had tried Sinemet, but after a month of enduring life interrupting unpleasant side effects on the minimum dose, decided to try natural but scientifically supported remedies instead. Running, (forced exercise), yoga, Ceylon cinnamon, cilantro, turmeric, seem to help with an overall sense of well being, but the tremors remained.
Next, Fava beans, known to contain levodopa, were added. Initially he ate only the dried cooked beans as a lunch eat day ( so delicious). When this seemed to be helping with tremors, he added juiced fresh Fava. I juiced the entire pod with an Omega juicer. The half life of this juice for him is about 90 minutes, meaning the tremors return quickly. I found this to be messy, time consuming and only briefly effective.
Most recently, he has been taking 1/4 tsp of mucuna power first thing in the morning and again later in the day. This seems to be his best tremor control. Additionally, he has regained some of the weight he lost from the forced exercise, which as a very slim person, is a benefit.
He will continue all the natural remedies and activities except the Fava juice. Mucuna is his most powerful and easy to use tool in combating the symptoms of PD.

The first two days taking this I felt noticeably depressed but on the third day and after I’ve experienced a huge increase in my mood and energy levels. I’ve also been sleeping more deeply. I already have a lot of sexual energy and this herb has definitely increased it.
To fully extract the active ingredients, boil a pot of water, take it off the burner and then put in the powder. I let it sit in there on low heat for about 30 minutes. Eating the powder won’t give you the same effects since the l-dopa is extracted with hot water. I combine it with green tea and most of the time with codonopsis (dang shen), a ginseng-like herb, only more mild (and less expensive) than ginseng.
It is wise to do a lot of research before considering taking this, especially if you suffer from mental issues, manic, schizophrenic or the likes.

Wonder Herb, it took few days to work for me, but knew that it will take some time for me to see the effects, i know that my Dopamine is low, the herb needs to build up and repair, started with 1/4 Teaspoon in the morning, increased to 1/2 next day and 1 Tsp the next day, no effect so far.
next day i took more than a teaspoon, it gave me gas for an entire day, also no effects, but i got more hungry than usual, then i I noticed that my Serotonin might be low and took 5HTP before sleep and i lowered the dose to 1/2 Tsp Mucuna the next day, i started noticing distinct well being in my thoughts and actions, the day went so smooth and calm with good focus at an equal phase, and i will maintain the 1/2 Tsp dose for a long time taking breaks in between.
I take Mucuna with goat milk and wheatgrass juice powder mixed in it, boiling Mucuna with Goat milk on medium flame helped with digestion of the herb.

Do not take this product, I took this product off and on for about two to three weeks and stopped cause I didn’t feel any benefits from it. Upon complete stoppage I had severe anxiety and panic attacks,I have never had either. I also had a great deal of disassociation and psychosis and suicidal thoughts. This went on for about a week and only calmed down when I started to take kava to battle the severe anxiety I was feeling. The ldopa in this product can cause withdrawl symptoms and it is absolutely paralyzing and scary. Ldopa should not be marketed as a safe herb that boosts libido and energy and calms nerves as this product claims. It has serious life threatening side effects as it can completely screw up your dopamine receptor and uptake ability and cause withdrawals the same way benzos and and opiates do.

The relationship that I have with my adrenal glands is the epitome of love and hate… I ask a whole lot of them (what with all the generous amounts of caffeine, nicotine, and waking hours…), and sometimes they struggle to keep up. But fortunately, right there is where these powerful powdered beans enter the equation, and I soon realized I’d found my missing variable.
Now after you gulp down a mug of this earthy tea, don’t be expecting a sensation akin to a powerful stimulant, or even a double shot espresso. Initially, I felt there was definitely something more to be desired, that is until I started to look at this versatile powder as a specialized role player…
For me, the most perceptible effect I attribute only to the powder is a subtle, yet distinct, clear headed feeling (imo, more or less analogous to the clearer view you get after wiping the last bits of sleep from your eyes in the AM…). The true worth of these beans are experienced through how they moderate/potentiate other substances (coffee, nicotine, various pharmaceuticals), and how they make it easier for your brain/body to cope with and recover from stress by supplying the necessary ingredients to do so, and naturally! (And also of course which your body simply could not otherwise furnish.)
So in a nutshell… If you and your adrenals can relate to the ups and downs of love and hate, you might just want to check this stuff out. (I sometimes use choline and/or urinidine in tandem with this during those particularly “hateful” times… (Remember to read up on any combos before playing the ginnie pig role)
