The Frassy Family –
I’ve been eyeing the Picture Jasper beads for a while. Jasper is my favorite ornamental rock, so, yah know how that goes. This week I was finally inspired enough to make the purchase and to see my plan come to fruition the same day the strand arrived.
The timing was clearly right! I’m pleased with the coloring, size, consistency, weight and amount of beads in the strand I recieved. I may have to purchase more. Worth the money in my opinion 👌.
I was so inspired by what I received that I finally prepped and drilled this elk antler tip, and added in the 20yo 8mm tiger eye cab to jazz-up the focal point. I’m quite happy with my latest creation. And it’s all inspired by the jasper beads.

These chipstones are gorgeous and quite versatile for making necklaces, as they go well with many colors. They are mostly clear blue, with different shades, decent size and are the real deal. The holes are drilled in the center and are easy to string. A little more than 100 pieces as stated…no complaints, but you should get at least two strands to make a necklace with, as 15″ won’t go around the average neck. The price is a little steep for chipstones, but we’ll worth it!

However, I was surprised by the colors I received. It’s a natural stone and am sure it comes in many variations. The beautiful colors in the pic are not why I received. I received, very soft to clear pink and very soft to clear blue only. I was excited for the “candy look” as pictured. I’m not returning. I’ll use it for a different style necklace. The description pics should show softer variations are possible.

The beads are lovely. I am pleased with the quality. I must say, some beads are a bit muddy,I suppose that is to be expected.

This stand was mostly in green hues but had some other colors. I loved that they looked like chips but were similar in size. They were smooth no holes were missing. Perfect for a double stand necklace or a stretch bracelet. I will be buying them again just for their versatility.

The size was not as pictured. They were very thin chips; most were very small – definitely not .5 inches. I knew there were only 15 inches of beads and I was planning on supplementing with other beads but they barely show up on my cashmere sweater. Now I need to go back to Michael’s or Hobby Lobby and find something that is worth my time to add to them.
