I absolutely love this tea! The flavor is smooth and naturally sweet — exactly what you expect from real organic licorice root. It feels calming and comforting, especially for digestion and overall balance.
You can tell it’s a clean, high-quality tea — no artificial taste, just pure herbal goodness. I drink it in the evening or after meals, and it always leaves me feeling grounded and well.
Perfect for anyone who loves natural, healing teas that truly nurture the body and soul. 💛🍃

In the past I’ve used chewable DGL for my stomach and digestion. I recently read that tea works as well or better and decided to try this brand. I just received it yesterday and tried it at lunch today. Very good and flavourful and not like eating licorice candy which made me glad since I’m not a fan of licorice. It tastes as though it’s related to fennel tea which I enjoy or baked fennel with only a slight hint of licorice flavor- just enough to be unique. Try it for a different tasting drink. I think you’ll like it. I did and will purchase this brand again because I know companies often have their own take on what flavor should be like and I really like this.

Most of the health claims aren’t anything you can back up with any science, and the “organic” tag just made this cost more. I wish I could have found conventional stuff. But hey.
One health claim which does seem backed up is licorice helping to sooth the stomach and esophagus, especially if you are prone to reflux. So that’s why I bought this.
I like black coffee, black and green teas, and most herbal teas, but this tasted just like I imagine grass clippings would taste. It has just a hint of licorice flavor at the end of a very green smell and taste. The licorice flavor is more the aftertaste, but the first thing that hits your nose is that awful wet grass smell, like the stuff still stuck under a lawnmower after a number of weeks.
If you are looking for a licorice flavor in a tea, give this one a hard pass. It’s too bad you can’t find tea that is all or mostly just licorice root.

This tea is great to settle my stomach. Taste so good I don’t have to add any honey or sugar!

This was not what I expected, but it is pleasant and new. I *love* the flavor of “black licorice” confection.
When I saw this tea, I thought it would be a good way to get that flavor without the accompanying calories.
At first, I was disappointed in how weak the flavor seemed when compared to licorice candy (but keep reading!). What flavor was there was ok, but barely discernible and totally overpowered by the small amount of Splenda with which I sweetened the tea.
BUT, I decided to brew more and this time let it steep longer in hotter water and did *not* add any sweetner.
THEN things started getting interesting. First, as you’d expect, the flavor was stronger. But the flavor had a natural sweetness to it that surprised me (it should not have. The box told me it would, but what do boxes know?)..
I will likely order this again.

The flavor is good. It’s just the weakest licorice tea I’ve had out of four kinds. Perhaps you need to use two bags to get full flavor. The price is right. The first few sips were just above undrinkable. It had more flavor by the last sips. I steeped it for 15 minutes. Should be plenty strong from the start. All in all it’s OK.
