This is a review for:
Pure Nutrition Organic Triphala Tablets – 120 Count | Ayurvedic Herb for Vata & Pitta Balance | USDA Organic | Non-GMO | Gluten-Free
The three healing herbs are amla (or amalaki, which is very high in antioxidants), haritaki, and bibhitaki. These herbs are said to have synergistic properties when used in combination.
You can find multiple studies online that explain the uses of these herbs.
They seem to be having a beneficial effect on me. I’m going to keep taking them (2x per day), and see what they’re like over a longer period of time.
If you look up what Dr Michael Greger has to say about amla powder, when comparing its antioxidant contents with a wide variety of other herbs, fruits, and berries, you can see how astonishingly high in antioxidants amla is.
I’m thinking that these tablets are probably worth it just for the antioxidants and polyphenols. And I think that there was probably some wisdom behind this formulation, which has been in use in India for thousands of years.

I’m still in the try it and let’s see mode but so far so good. It’s not an immediate fix but worth trying.

I wanted to try this product for digestive benefits after a stint of antibiotics for dental issues (age 65+) may have ‘whacked gut bacteria’. I started with 1/2 recommended dose to see if there were side effects, and then after 3 days moved to the full dose (2 tablets). I take no prescription meds and prefer natural methods to doctor’s pills whenever it is possible. These have a long expiration date (Sept. 2027) and weren’t bad to swallow (not capsules). These seem to help reduce the sense of bloating I’ve been experiencing, and should be overall immune-boosting – yay! I suggest researching all supplements for individual compatibility.

Good quality Triphala tablets. For me, they are perfect for when I travel, because at home I often take Triphala in powder form. These tablets are well made – nothing but the powders of three dried fruits (Amla, Haritaki and Vibhitaki) – so well-known by now all over the world by their effectiveness to improve digestion. The only other ingredients are some Acacia powder and water. The tablets are not small, but not huge either, I have no difficulty of swallowing them. USDA Organic. Made in India – the land of Ayurveda. Good value too.

I’m glad I decided to give these a try. My gut seems to be doing a little better after taking them a couple of weeks. I might need to take them a little longer to experience even better benefits. I have a delicate digestive system. Plenty of foods cause me blotting and gas, and either constipate me or the other extreme 🥑(sorry for the TMI). They are definitely not causing any adverse effects which is definitely a plus. I do want to qualify my comments by admitting I might need to update later as I use several supplements so not sure if they are working well with another I’m taking (verses if I would only take this).

I’ve always wanted to try triphala due to the health benefits though I am nervous to use supplements from India due to heavy metal contamination. I’m giving it five stars though due to the fact that it’s certified organic. Certified organic doesn’t guarantee freedom from contamination but after looking at their website it seems like a good company.

This 8oz bag of Triphala powder consist of 3 natural ingredients (Organic Amlaki, Organic Haritaki and Organic Vibhitaki). I’m taking 1 tsp (mix with water) a day to help with my gut issues… I don’t know if it will help but I’m not experiencing any negative reactions to it. I find the taste to be enjoyable… it has a blend of sweet, sour and a touch of bitterness. The smell reminds me of a grassy tamarind. It comes in a sealed bag inside a zipper pouch.
